Hi Moms. Like some Moms, I gained A LOT of weight after I had my children. So much so that I'm highly embarassed and insecure about going to doctors, no matter what kind of doctor they are. I know I can't avoid doctors forever, even though I want to. This may sound like a stupid question, but are there any Moms (or friends of Moms out there) who know of a female GYN in or near the St. Charles County area who isn't young and skinny? I much prefer someone who is downright stocky. Someone who won't make me feel horrible about myself. I stopped seeing my regular "general" doctor when she told me that I was "pathetic" for why I was overweight. I can't handle that treatment. Thank you in advance for any referrals you may have.
I see Dr. Janet Matuszek in St Peters. She is wonderful and very down to earth. I highly recommend her!!!
My OBGYN is WONDERFUL! Her name is Dr. Shayla Rose, she is located in Lake St Louis off of the hospital (St Joseph West) I have always been overweight my entire life and she has never made one comment about it. She is very nice, gentle and makes you feel comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. The office number is ###-###-####. I HIGHLY recommend her.
Someone else mentioned Dr. Radley, funny, since I was going to recommend Dr. Angela Cartwright, who's in the same practice! They are in the DePaul Medical Center or out at Barnes Jewish St. Peters. I highly recommend her. She's very personable and makes you feel very comfortable!! Her phone at Depaul (handle appts for both places) ###-###-####.
I see Dr Radley at the Depaul Hospital. She is very nice. There are other Female Drs in her practice as well and all nice.
if you don't mind going to st. john's mercy medical center at 40 and 270 there's an awesome doc there named Dr. Marsha McBride. She's VERY nice and very respectful. I'm overweight too. Her number is 314/567-5016.And she's definately not on the skinny side. :)
