I just switched insurance and it covers Presbyterian and UNM. I live on the westside. I am in need of a Pediatrician, Family doctor, and especially an OB/Gyne. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, please mention if the doctors have extended hours - early morning, late evening, or weekend.

I like Dr Keller at the Pres in Rio Rancho for my kids I have also seen Dr Zip there and she is wonderful also. For a primary for you I like Dr Fontana at the same place! I have a great OBGYN but he is not practicing in OB any longer but if you have need for just a gyno his name is Dr Deyhle at South West Medical Associates. They take pres and he is located on pan america and san mateo about.
I take both of my boys to the NM Pediatrics clinic, also known as After Hours Pediatrics. I know that they just opened a clinic in Rio Rancho off Golf Course Rd. We go to the clinic on the east side...I have seen two dr.s there and loved them both. Look in the while pages under NM Pediatrics. They are open until 10 or 11 pm and hold weekend hours at the westside clinic.
As far as obstetric care goes I would hook up with the midwives at Lovelace or UNM. I am a doula and childbirth educator so I've worked with lots of women in the area looking for good OB care and as it turns out (not so surprisingly) the midwifery care is better!
Hope that the scope of your pregnancy will permit for midwifery care!

Dr Zipp is such a great pediatrician that I elected to stay with Pres when my company switched to Lovelace. She is awesome with the kids and very patient.
