Family looking for a spirit filled, non-denominational or inter-denominational church with contemporary praise and worship. A great children and youth program a plus!! My family moved here 6 mos ago from up north and we have not found a church yet. I have checked on the internet but names of churches don't tell me what is going on inside.

What can I do next?

I've been a part of the Sugar Land Vineyard (yes, it's a church! LOL) for... well, since there WAS a Sugar Land Vineyard! We're actually in Stafford, at 5015 Grove West Blvd. You can find out more about our church at http://www.slvineyard.org/

We recently sent out a "church plant" to start a new church in Katy. I was thinking in the last couple of days of how I missed the great teachings from the Katy church's pastor! I know many of the people involved out there now, and it is a wonderful group. They meet on Mason Rd, and you can see their website at http://www.katyvineyard.org/

Both churches (and there are other Vineyards in the area, too!) have a strong focus on community and worship. There are wonderful children's ministries and great family support and activities. I hope you get a chance to check it out!

I need to be on the lookout as well. I've lived in Katy for 6 years and haven't actively searched. I've looked on the internet, but nothing appealed to me. Crosspoint Community Church might be a good place to visit. Seems like there are mostly baptist churches out here. I would like to go the more nondenominational route as well. My husband isn't going to be the spiritual leader, so it is up to me to find something. Let me know if you find something!

Hi I am new around here too and I found a fantastic church...Crosspoint on Westgreen and Kingsland. It is great I have been going there for about 5 months now and they have childcare for children of all ages while the adults attend church. Don't get me wrong they also teach the children while they are being taken care of. They also have a preschool program that my oldest daughter just started and she really enjoys it. They have service every Sunday at I believe 8am, 9:30am and at 11:15am at least I think that those times are correct I usually attend the one at 11, but you can look on their website www.crosspt.org ....Hope you enjoy it

My husband found a church in Sugar Land that I think fits what you are looking for. He is currently participating in KidJam - a series of plays with a purpose for the kids - it is pretty cool. The church is called The Bridge Fellowship and they are located at 802 Brooks Street, Sugar Land, TX 77478
###-###-####. Personally I really like Lakewood and Joel Osteen. People think because it is such a huge church one would feel lost in a sea of people but that definitely isn't my experience. If you ever want to try either feel free to contact me and I would be happy to invite you to either. Welcome to Houston, take care.
