I am looking for a bakery that makes custom birthday cakes in the Whittier area. My daughter is having a princess Dora birthday party so we are looking for a Princess Dora cake or a castle cake. If anyone has any suggestions as to where we could get these made, I would really appreciate it.

So What Happened?

Thank you so much for all of the suggestions. I ended up using the Magic Bakery on Slauson and it was great! They used a Disney Princess Castle and we just had them keep the Disney Princesses off of it. I then added our own Dora figures on it. My daughter just loved the cake and the bakery went above and beyond in everything that they did for us. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone.

I do not know of a bakery in Whittier, but there is a great bakery in Seal Beach called the Great Dane Bakery. The cakes are excellent and they can any type you want. My entire family order cakes form here, for everything. The head baker's name is Terri and she does fantastic work.. You will not be dissapointed and really not that far from Whitter.

I can certainly recommend Churrolandia which is on Greenleaf. They make the best desserts and churro's, of course, and they have a great cake collection!

I second Michelle's Cake House in La Habra. She makes the best cakes. Not only do they look great but they taste great. I'm never disappointed when I get a cake from her.

There's Michelle's Cakes in La Habra off of LH Blvd & Beach - you can look them up. She might be able to do a custom cake but will be pricey - if she can't she might be able to refer you elsewhere.

M.,

Try your local Ralph's grocery store first. If they don't have it, then try Albertson's. In my area Ralphs was less expensive for the same cake. You might want to call them first and get a price from them.

There is a bakery called "Churrolandia" on the west side of Greenleaf near Mar Vista. The bakery sells "pan dulce" or mexican sweet bread in addition to beautifully decorated European pastries. None of the baked goods are made with trans-fat. Additionally, I saw two fancy albeit pricey Dora cakes on diplay a couple of months ago. Can you tell I'm a bakery fanatic?

Great Dane is very good but I have had very good luck with our local Albertson's. My daughter's cakes have been very good from there.

Hope that helps!

Try Magic Bakery on Slauson Avenue in Pico Rivera. It's on the corner of Passons & Slauson. It's in the same center as Carl's Jr. They have awesome cakes, very good prices too.

Hope this helps.

First, Amy's bakery in Montebello is aweful... unless you want cake that tastes like cardboard. I live in Montebello and it's frustrating that it's the only bakery here. Sorry Mara.
If you want custom cakes, please visit cakesbytriciafaye.com. Awesome custom cakes, super delicious and great service. Tricia bakes the cakes herself and delivers herself. Prices are really good too. Tell her you heard it from me, D..
Otherwise, believe it or not, Albertsons now has a great selection of cakes including all the characters... and I know for sure they have exactly what you're looking for. And the cake itself tastes pretty good.
