Seeking a Preschool in South Tampa

I am new to the South Tampa area. I live in Riverview but now serve at a church out there and am learning more each week about the area. I know that I love it!! I am definitely familiar with the process of preschools though and there are almost always waiting lists. If you want your son to be enrolled during the next school year, then you should be visiting preschools now. If you are planning on waiting a few years, then you have time. I have heard good things about Little Blessings which is the preschool located at Hyde Park United Methodist. I don't know first hand, but have certainly heard positive comments. I hope you find just what you need.

There's a South Tampa preschool fair taking place this Thursday 28 February from 10am-12noon at the Port Tampa Community Center (4799 West Lancaster Street in Tampa 33616). It's free and there will be events for children. For more info, visit babynewsbits.com.

Hyde Park Day School is wonderful!! The classrooms are a good size, and the kids have ample playtime, storytime, etc.. Children have to be at least 18 months old at the start of the school year (they pride themselves on being a school, not just a daycare). I love this place. My son has been attending for over half a year, and my younger son will begin in the fall. Good luck. P.S. The school is off of Horatio and S. Blvd.

I have a 10 yr old daughter who attended Palma Ceia United Methodist Preschool and loved it! I have a 2 year old who will be attending soon. check it out... take a tour. Diane Nicodemus is or was the director. It was a wonderful place!

Congregation Schaarai Zedek has an AWESOME preschool. The Director, Ian Bernstein has been there since it's inception. I believe teacher to parent ratio is 1:6. It is located at the corner of Swann and Lincoln, and they are currently building a new classroom wing. You can call ###-###-#### and ask for the preschool. They will meet with you and provide a tour.
