I am currently looking for a OBGYN that comes highly recommended. This is my first pregnancy and I am looking at the following hospitals Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Central Dupage Hospital and even Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. I am looking for a doctor that has a good bedside manner. I am RH negative so depending on my husbands blood type I will possibly need the RoGham shot.

What can I do next?

I had my first child at Elmhurst and my second child at CDH. I loved my doctors at Elmhurst (I used RPW like the reply below), however I didn't like my experience at Elmhurst Hospital. I ended up taking my daughter to CDH a week after she was born and the NICU was awesome. The doctors were great, the nurses were great. Much better than the experience at Elmhurst. Because of that, I switched to CDH and used the doctors at DuPage Medical Group for my second child and had no issues with them. The whole experience at CDH was much better.
Good Luck :)

RPW in Elmhurst is an awesome practice! I have had 3 kids using them. They are a team of 5 doctors who you rotate seeing. My last pregnancy had complications and they all were so good with me! ###-###-#### is the #, they have good hours so you can get in when you are available. Dr. Fitzmaurice was my fav! good luck!

Are you RH negative? If so, that does not neccessarily make you high risk. I am a homebirth midwife and have taken care of many women that are RH negative. You might look into midwives in your area, even ones that deliver out of the hospital. You will get more personal and better care.

I delivered both of my kids at CDH with the DuPage Ob/GYN practice. My primary ob/gyn was Dr. Lynn Fesenmyer and I had c-sections with both. I highly recommend her if she is taking new patients. I had two different doctors that accompanied her on each of my surgeries and they were equally wonderful.

I am O- and my husband is O+ so I had the Rhogam both times and had no problems.

Good luck.

I had both my sons at Elmhurst Memorial. Dr. Marco Martinez delivered my first and Dr. Roger MacDuff the second. The three other docs are Dr. Julie Kim, Dr. N. Gigabyte and Dr. Cynthia Paige. You get to meet all the docs at least once while you're pregnant and whoever is on duty will deliver. They all know your case and great group if people.
