Seeking a Legit Stay at Home Job

Hello, Ladies!
I love this community! Isn't it great!?
I have been a stay at home mom for nearly four years now and love being home with my kids. My husband has a great job and provides for all of our needs and wants really well. We recently have set a goal to pay off our home and student loans (our only debt) within the next four years. We have rearranged our finances to accommodate this goal. We still have enough for our needs and everything, but I would like to still be able to bring in some more money to help with the wants - vacations, gifts, more savings... I have heard a lot about the data entry jobs online and that kind of thing. I am wondering if any of you know of a legitimate business out there that hires work from home people? I don't want to take phone calls (we don't have a home phone anymore - just out cells) and I want it to be something I can do in my spare time and not have to leave home and my children to do it. If any of you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them!
Thanks!

I would start with the Salt Lake Tribune/The Deseret News/Indeed.com/KSL.com and possibly Craig's list to get a general idea about "work from home" opportunities. LDS Employment/Provident living might also be a good resource. It also depends on the skills you already have that are applicable to the job and what you enjoy...
However, if there is no compromising leaving home and your children to do some type of work, then it might be really difficult. No matter what you do, I am sure there will be some kind of training that you would need to go to or be involved with that would not necessarily be done at home...
I know of employers that have employees telecommute from home, but most of them are phone/call center related-NOT an option for you. Plus, they often offer it to those with seniority.
You could have a business with Mary Kay or other cosmetics lines, Maleleuca, USANA etc. but they all will require some cost upfront to get started. Then, you have to sell, deliver product, attend classes etc.
All the best in finding the right opportunity for you...

Jet Blue allows you to work from home and so does 1-800 contacts, but I have heard they are kind of hard to get on.

I know my response is a little late. I have allot of different ideas you can do to make extra money while at home with your kids. You can either get free lance jobs on Guru or Elance, or you can start a website and start building some residual income. See my website for more information, and send me an email if you are interested. I have an article on my website that has the links on where you can find legitimate work that you can do from home. <http://www.layzdaisy.com/>

You can also check Convergys. I have no idea what kind of work they offer at home because I just saw an ad in the paper. Good luck and let us know if you find something - I have wondered this same thing!
