Recommendations on Northland Pediatricians, Eye Doctors and Dentists

We see Dr. Kristen Jacobs at Northland Pediatrics ###-###-####. The staff is excellent at calling back as soon as possible and we have always gotten in for a same day appointment when we've called and needed one. Dr. Jacobs is truly an amazing doctor, she knows her stuff but more importantly she loves what she does and it shows when she sees her patients. My kids actually look forward to going to the doctor's office so they can see Dr. Jacobs!

Hi - I highly recommend the Gashland Clinic in Gladstone. It is located at 95th St and N Oak Trfwy. My family has gone to Dr Dibernardo for about 8 years. He is wonderful. We have seen many of the drs. in the clinic over the years (when Dr D was on vacation or out for a random day and we needed to be seen asap). The entire clinic is just wonderful. There is rarely a time that we can't get in same day, nurses always call back same day (if you call before 3). There has never been a time when I didn't feel as though my concerns we taken seriously. Dr D is willing to refer to a specialist if he feels he is out of his league or has exhausted his resources. I just love it there. They also have a pharmacy on site which is so nice...don't have to haul a sick kid out to another place to get the medicine. Anyway, check it out, I recommend them all the time. Pediatric Care North (on North Platte Purchase Drive off of 152 Hwy) is great. We see Dr. Storm and have also seen Dr. Riddel. Dr. Storm is great, she has a wonderful bedside manner with my 1 month old. My sister-in-law referred them to me, she has been taking her 3 year old there since birth and had the same results. So far all the nurses and staff have been very helpful and nice. Also they have a couple great lactation consultants there that have helped me tremendously! Good Luck!

Dr. Melissa Beard at Pediatric Care North off Platte Purchase Drive. ###-###-#### is the number I think. This doctor is awesome and has taken care of my 3 year old since she was born. My daughter was born ill and had to be hospitalized for about a week and Dr. Beard took such great care of her getting her well so she could come home to her family. Dr. Beard has been her pediatrician since then and we love her so much for helping our baby. She is a sweetheart and loves children like they were her own. Any of the pediatrians at this clinic are great but she is by far the best. If your child is very sick they will get you in that same day and that is rare - Gashland clinic (as one reply above) they are often rude and are very quick to just medicate without exploring other options and the doctors aren't as caring in my opinion as elsewhere.

My son sees a pediatrician in Liberty---Dr. Brandon Day. He is at the Liberty Clinic, which has about 15+ doctors in their office. There are I think 5 pediatricians and the rest are internal medicine or family practice. I also see Dr. Day because he is dual-licensed in pediatrics and internal medicine so he sees both children and adults. I have also seen Dr. Stephanie Swords in the same office and was extremely impressed with her. I highly recommend both doctors as we have been very pleased with the care we receive. Also, when you need to speak to Dr. Day's nurse, often times she picks up the phone before it goes to voice mail, but when she doesn't she has always called me back very shortly. Good luck!

We go to Healthcare for Children in Liberty. We see Dr. Hertenstein. His bedside manner leaves a little to be desired, but his skills a a dr are impressive. There are also other physicians in the practice with him, we have also seen Dr Lively and he is very friendly. As far as a Dentist we see Dr Shultz at Seaport Family Dentistry in Liberty. ###-###-#### is the number. It is great, everything is very hi-tech and up to date. They have TV monitors fot the kids or you to watch while getting your teeth cleaned and everybody is very friendly. I highly recomend this Dentist.

As far as a pediatrician I would recommend Gashland Clinic at 95th & N. Oak. The have well rounded doctors and all 4 of us see Dr. Fox. There are other very nice doctors there as well. Upstairs there is Dr. Fitch, Dr. Myers, Dr. Spell & Dr. Riojas for OB/GYN for yourself.

Dental wise I used to work for Dr. Kurt Burk on Vivion Road, I continue to go there as well as the rest of my family. I decided to change professions is the only reason I left. He is a very good dentist and they are all great with kids!!
