Question About Nursing Pads

hmm I dunno so good in theroy, if they do not cost an arm and a leg maybe consider them. Also maybe as your OB about them maybe she has used them before or can help decide if it would cause a problem. I used the small pads that come in a box, you buy them at walmart or HEB, think gerber or avent makes them. I had to change them once in awhil and the only problem is at night sometimes would have to change them in middle of the night...( but the first 3 months your up round the clock anyways). Also a good nursing bra way comfortable and functional

Your breasts leak rather than becoming engorged. If you stop them from leaking (rather than just absorbing the milk) then they will become engorged, which is painful and can lead to problems like plugged ducts.

I haven't tried these pads, but it sounds like a very bad idea.

I used them with my second and now my third. They are really great. You wash them with a small amount of soap and let them air dry. By the time I stopped leaking they were loosing thier ability to stick. They are sticky on one side. I Loved Them! They push the nipple in so it keeps you from having let down. But if I went to long w/out pumping or nursing I would leak. But they work really well for me.

ETA: I had no problems with blocked ducts or for that matter any issues with both of my experiences. My little one is now almost 4 months and my older daughter I breastfed is almost 3.

Sounds expensive! I liked the Medela breast pads! They come in a box of 60, but they lasted me forever! I think I only changed them out 2 times a day! They are disposable and absorb oceans!

i bought them because one of my friends told me all her friends tried them and loved them. i didn't "love" them. they didn't stay on like i thought they would. and i was so concerned about infections, etc that i just ended up taking them off and wearing Lansinoh breastpads. they're the best i have ever found. i still have mine, don't know what to do with them now. :[ i hope this helps.

Hi, I loved them. I did not buy them to stop leaking mostly it was just so I could wear summer tanks without a bra. I prefer to not wear bras since I have had two breast infections, both caused by wearing bras, but I never had any problems with the Lily. I recommend them to all my friends who are nursing. the only thing I did not like about them is after a few times wearing them they don't stay on as well. if you want to check them out before you buy them I know they sell them at Motherhood Maternity.
