Hello freinds,
I am gonna organize my kid 4th birthday in her preschool. I am doing goodie bags for her classmates, should I give gift to her teachers too? If yes, what would the best for teachers??

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I asked her class teacher, she said bring whatever ur kid like , yes I did not tell about goodie bags, it seems to me they are ok with everything.
As I have $5 per bag budget, I guess it would be not waste of money if I put one preschool book and a crayon set In each goodie bag.

No, the teachers do not need a gift. If you feel you need to do something, a small hand sanitizer or non-floral lotion would be nice. Or a home-baked treat.

Have you asked her teachers about this? They may have rules and guidelines re class parties. Our preschool allowed kids to bring in treats as long as there were no allergies, but no one actually had a party at school. They just sang happy birthday and handed out the treats at snack time. Just make sure it's okay before you go out and buy a bunch of stuff.
And for the teachers, I would do $5 Starbucks cards.

At least your goody bags won't go straight into the trashcan during the party because the kids don't really want the stuff inside. I say your idea sounds fun but really, I hope goody bags are on their way out. I think it's a silly fad that was started by party stores so they could sell more cheap stuff. I don't do them and haven't been to a party where they were given out in almost a year.

There was only one preschool teacher who allowed g bags. The other preschool teachers let the parents bring in a healthy treat only.

This is a very nice idea! :-)

Books and crayons sound like a perfect "treat" for the goody bags.

If you want to give the teachers something, maybe a mug or a $5 gift card for coffee.

Happy Birthday to your little one!!

Personally I don't like when my kids bring goodie bags home. They usually have junk. If you are going to give something make it something useful like a book or that can be used up--bubbles, water paint, playdough. You could even do a $5 gift card to a local book store. Skip the noise makers, cheap plastic toys, bouncy balls, etc. Kids pick that stuff up at every "family friendly" event you attend. I bet I throw away at least one of those things every week. Any time my kids have taken birthday treats to school or daycare it has only been cupcakes with cute napkins.

I would talk to the teacher for sure first. Most schools allow a little 10 minute "hey, it is Suzzie's birthday, lets have a cup cake" thing, but I have never seen one actually host the kids birthday party.

Hi A.,

Trust me, the teachers do not expect or need a gift. But it is very thoughtful of you to think of them. The best thing you can do for them is keep it simple and easy to pick up!

Treat food item.
Napkins in a theme (they did not use my plates)
Small take home (I gave out rubber duckies in the theme and stickers)
