i started my son at 14 months and same with my daughter. Just introducing it. both my son and daughter would pee pee on the potty before bath time at 15 months. My son was fully potty trained by 22 months and i am hoping the same with my daughter. My daughter is way more interested than my son was. she is 17 months now and i think she is getting it more and more every day. she will stand by the bathroom door and say pee pee all throughout the day. sometimes she goes and sometimes she doesnt or had just gone in her diaper. but she understands!
i read bare butt potty training by dr. sears. it was wonderful! and worked like magic! i didnt start that until 20/21 months but i will earlier with my daughter since she is almost ready.
I believe that kids are ready at a young age but parents think little of a child that young, they are smarter than we think they are...they know way more than we give them credit for! There are alot of things that kids dont want to learn or do...but they have to. pushing your child to learn something that he/she will use the rest of thier life is not negative. keep up the good work! i am proud of you!! dont give up...its so rewarding to you AND your daughter!
Let me know if you have any questions, i would love to share more if you want :)
God Bless :)

A bit early-don't ya think. they don't even have control of those muscles yet at this age.Reading fine, but their interest I doubt it. L.

wow so early! i started with my daughter at 18 months (shes 21 now and still potty training). i didnt read a book but maybe i should lol. i use trainer panties and plastic pants durring the day and pullups when we are going places and for her to sleep. i also take her potty every 30 mins. good luck this is a slow a gradual process dont rush it my daughter has regressed a little because she just doesnt feel like doing it.
