Please.....I Need Some Advice!

Your uterus wouldn't feel pregnant yet! That is so odd that she would say that. Your baby is just a few cells right now. How could she feel that?

If you are having positive blood and urine tests, the next step would be a trans-v**. ultrasound to see what's going on. You COULD have fibroids, but you could also be pregnant. Your doctor should have answered all these questions for you. Did she do an ultrasound?

I had a couple of trans-v**. ultrasounds with my last pregnancy because I was spotting at around 4-5 weeks. They couldn't even see my baby on the ultrasound at that stage. I had to come back at 6-8 weeks so they could find him and make sure everything was all right.

SO I would wither get another doctor, or wait and get the trans v** ultrasound to see what's actually happening. I'm sorry you have to wait like this, I know it's so hard.

The thing any OB should be doing, especially with your history, is have you come back every couple of days to do a blood test and measure your HcG levels. If they keep going up, you are pregnant and your risk of M/c is very very low.

I want to relay something to you that someone shared with me after I had 2 miscarriages. He'd told me his wife had some miscarriages and started taking one baby aspirin a day. I began doing this very early on in my last pregnancy at age 37 and now have "Baby Kenny" who is now 4 1/2. I can't remember why this works but I believe this advice made all the difference in the world to me. My obstetrican also had me take progesterone suppositories. Hey, whatever it takes... my son is a blessing. Hope everything works out for you. I would assume I'm pregnant and start with the baby aspiring.

I agree with much that has been said. Also because you've had 3 miscarriages I would really recommend that you see a dr/drs in a high risk pregnancy group. The doctors in Northshore University Health systems (formerly ENH) are wonderful. I've also heard good things about the high risk group at Northwestern. Don't know where you live so don't know if either of these would work for you. The drs. are just excellent and you wouldn't have this kind of experience. I hope things work out well for you.

First off, get a new doctor. Or at least get a second opinion. Personally, I wouldn't be able to deal with someone like that.

Second of all, the only way to get a positive pregnancy test is to be pregnant. Nothing in your body creates the same hormone that pregnancy does. At my 4 weeks preg appt with my second child, my doctor told me I didn't feel pregnant yet either, but when I went back at 8 weeks it was a totally different story.

I actually just had surgery LAST week to remove a fibroid tumor. Before the surgery I had to have blood work done and specifically, a pregnancy test at the hospital, that all resulted in negative. I do not think (nor have I ever heard of) fibroids causing positive pregnancy tests. I've actually had the fibroid for a long time and have taken several at home and doctor's office tests and have never had a positive result.

I agree with the otehr posts...Your Uterus would not feel pregnant this early!!!!!! Way too soon! In a a few weeks to a month it will be a different story. Since you've experienced several miscarriages in the past I would seek a second opinion from a new doctor. I would think it would high risk and that you should be monitored closely until they are satisfied all is going well and that you have piece of mind about it. There are no false positives and you are either pregnant or not. No in between!! Congrats and best wishes to you.
