I am looking for a free or very inexpensive playgroup or activities in the Clearwater area for me to take my almost 1 year old daughter to meet and play with other children around her age. Can anyone recommend something? I live in the SE area of Clearwater near the airport if that helps.

What can I do next?

Try the clearwater mom's club. They have activities at night also. The library has good activities that are free but they are in recess for the summer. I also checked into the Safety Harbor and Olsmar Recreation Centers which offer inexpensive classes such as playdough and building blocks. Hope this helps. D.

www.momsclub.com, will connect you with a moms club in your area. the cost is $20 per year and they get together every week for play dates. this is a great way to meet moms and children for your daughter.

Try momsclub.org, They should have one in Clearwater and it is 25 dollars a year. they have playgroups for all different age ranges. Also, try babyzone.com. I believ they are free groups.

There are some great music classes, www.musicwithmar.com that are offered at night for working parents. We go to the classes in the mornings and my son loves them. You can go to the website and look at the schedule to find out when/where classes are held. They are all over the area. Classes are $6 each or 5 for $25 and are 45 min long. Great deal.
