Hi,my son will be turning 1 in october and I was wondering if anyone has any sugestions(sp?)on a place to have a childs first birthday party in the portland area.my house is to small,doesent have to be fancy and hopefully not too expensive.THANKS!!!
we went to the children's museum.. it was 140 I think but everyone had a blast.. and the one year old's had a place to play and explore too!

I had the same problem when my little guy turned 1 in may. thankfully my husband works at an event place and we could do it there for free.
I'd say go for Chuck E Cheese if your son and the kids coming are mobile enough to play on their playstructure!
you could always try kids place too!
you can try a park if it doesn't rain- but you usually have to pay 10 bucks an hour for it.

There is papa's pizza on 162nd & Stark. The pizza place is separate from the play place but the play place is free you just buy the pizza. I don't know of other places to hold babies birthday parties. Mt. Scott has a water park that's indoor. It has a big area for babies in the water but that may be a little too involved for you. Omsi has a great place for little ones to play. The southwest community center has a lot to offer too. You may want to visit oregonmom.com for more ideas.
Depends on who is going to be attending. For kids Milwaukie area has Pietro's Pizza or JJ Jump.
