Hi. My son was going through the same thing. We had to put him in a bigger size diaper at night. It really worked.

You can also put a super absorbent maxi-pad in his diaper. That worked for me when the next size up was too big and leaked.

They now carry an overnight diaper that is like a pull-up but holds a lot more. Otherwise there are some called good nights that also do the same thing -- I think those are bigger though. Good luck!

I had this same problem, and I started putting my son in a bigger diaper at night. Right now he wears a 3 during the day and a 4 at night. It's pretty full in the morning, but I haven't had any more leak problems.

Good luck!

I also live in Phoenix and know that this is hard.....
stop the drinks after 6pm and get his food/drink in during the day, just like adults....it will be hard at first, but by the time he is 12 months, you can make your situation better.

what kind of diapers do you use??? I am not a big fan of spending a lot of money on diapers so I use the target and walmart brands during the day but at night I use huggies and I never have a problem.

our son had exactly the same problem at that age - it stopped after we changed him over from the bottle to the cup, however... in the meantime, we used huggies overnight diapers and then moved into huggies pullup overnights - we use those now.
the ones with buzz and woody work well for us now,but for a time, they didn't even hold it all.
we could only use the ones that had soccer designs on them.
they're all by huggies... a little hard to find in the right size bag. not cheap cheap, but at one a night, affordable.
target usually has the full line of huggies.

we would give him a bath around 7 and put on a regular diaper - then take off his regular diaper just before bed - put on the pull up. you also have to change it RIGHT after they wake up in the AM as it won't hold the first morning void and the middle of the night pee.
if that's still not working, rubber pants for overnight only - last thing on and first thing off - will keep you from losing your mind.
just be sure he's getting enough air and the area's not swampy.
you should definitely start using a barrier cream in that area if he's staying that wet at night.

when you start to change it in the morning and it's not full, then you know you're about to round that corner...
however - it gets worse before it gets better.

we never limited water/drink intake. in fact, this period came int eh summer and during a sick time (a string of ear infections with hight fevers) for him, so we encouraged more fluids.
remember it's just pee - it's not toxic waste.
hang in there.
it's just a phase.
you'll get through it and look back one day.
all too soon.

Try the huggies overnight diapers if you are close to the size. I think they start at 4. If not, I always put my kids to sleep in the next diaper size up. So if they wore the 2 during the day then they would sleep in a 3. I found that the next size up was always more absorbent.

When my first son started wetting through his diapers during the night, we moved him up to the next size diapers for bedtime. I also bought a couple of Ultimate Crib Sheets from Babies R Us. It's a waterproof pad with a cotton top that snaps to the crib bars so you can easily and quickly change it without having to lift the mattress etc. It's been a lifesaver for those unexpected accidents.

When my kids started doing this, I went up to the next biggest diaper and that usually solved the problem. Or the night time diapers work really good too! Good luck!

Try the next size up. This always did the trick with both my kids.

Hi T., my son is 11 months and we went through the same thing. Here's what i did, First, i tryed changing him right before he was put in bed, then i went out and bought the cloth diapers and wraped his diaper, ....ttttooooo much work!!!! Then i tried going up a size in the diaper only at night, i figure that eventually i am going to go up anyways so i bought the size up and put them on at night. This works for us. Here are some suggestions that my neighbors had for me that i didn't try.... use the huggies goodnights brand for nights(i didn't want to buy a big bag and not get a good deal.. :) i am a bargain shopper:)0 also, try putting a pad or pantiliner in the bottom at night. Good luck. J.

Try a different brand of diaper. Every brand works differently, even for the gender of the baby.

My son did this for awhile. Especially when he sleeps on his stomach with his bum in the air! Go up a size in diapers and buy Huggies or another name brand... the cheap store brands never worked overnight for us.
