I am looking for a pediatrician in the Tempe area who is flexible with vaccination schedules. I definitely want my child vaccinated but I'd like to slow them down and not give her all of them all at once. Any suggestions?
If you don't mind driving a bit, Dr. Sara Kertz at Paradise Pediatrics is AWESOME! They are located at Tatum & Shea, so you would just come up the 51 and exit at Shea Blvd. My kids absolutely LOVE her and she is very flexible with the vaccination schedule. She also didn't push it when I said I did not want my kids to get the H1N1 vaccine. www.paradisepediatrics.net They are also open Saturdays and Sundays for sick kids.
We go to East Valley Children's Center (EVCC.net) located at the 101 and Southern. We don't personally do an alternative schedule, but I have a friend who also uses this pediatrician and is doing a slightly delayed vaccination schedule.
I second East Valley Children's Center (EVCC.net). We go there also, and even though we don't use the alternative schedule, I ran into a lady there who does and was pleased about it. I have seen almost all of the doctors there for one reason or another, and have felt very taken care of there.
i do not have any reccomendations as our ped has changed her vacc. schedule around with new patients...not accepting new patients that want vac. different than what is recommended.
HOWEVER!!! COngrats to you for knowing you can do this and it will help your child and god for bid there is a reaction you as a parent can narrow it down to which one. We had terrible reactions to some vaccines and it caused us to look deeper into our options! Again...
