Hello. Does anyone have an Ophthalmologist (not optometrist) referral for NW Houston area. My dh is fairly blind and needs a GOOD eye exam. Our insurance will only cover 1 per year so we need to get it right the first time. We live in the 77379 (spring) area code and would like something between 249/45 in the 1960/Cypresswood/Louetta are but are willing to travel a little further if someone comes highly recommended!

Thanks so much!
Carol

Dr. Hayne Sheffield

I went to Dr. Sheffield as a child and then Dr. Sun as an adult, only because at the time he was closer, but I see Dr. Sheffield has moved one of his offices to Tomball and the other in town. Both are excellent. I hope this helps.

Dr. David Coats-Texas Children's Health Centers. 17198 St. Luke's Way #300 The Wdlnds
For appointments you need to call ###-###-####. He has an office at Texas Children's and one here in The Woodlands. He is very good with children. He will not do anything unless he feels it needs to be done. Our daughter has seen him since she was 5 months old and now is 9 1/2 years old. You may have to wait a while to see him but, is worth the wait. Make sure you let them know what locations you would like to see him at. The Woodlands number that i have is ###-###-####. I hope all goes well.

I have been going to mine for 31 yrs.(Almost all my life) I'm blind in one eye and have REALY bad sight in my other. He's older but he's awesome! I'm scared to go to anyone else because of my eyes. I now drive and hr and a half to go see him every yr but it's worth it. He's at 1960 and Red Oak close to 45. Not a far drive for you at all. I grew up in spring.

Hi P.,

Dr. Peter Pham is in Tomball, off 249 and 2920 on Alma. He is taking care of my mom who is 81 and he did cataract surgery in both eyes in December and she was doing great. We had a follow up visit with him last week on Friday and he wanted to know what was going with my my mom. She was really out of it on Friday. I explained to him the she had been to North Cypress Hospital in an ambulance on Monday and they told us she had what appeared to be a seizure and sent us home. Turns out it was a TIA (mini stroke) and her vision was greatly affected. She was actually running into things with her walker. She needs the walker, but is usually sharp. Dr. Pham was so concerned about her, he called her Rheumatologist and had him paged to discuss her state of being. He knew something wasn't right. I am really impressed with him because how many times does a doctor call another one for you when you are in his office? Mom ended up in the ER at Cy Fair Hospital on Sunday night and they admitted her until Thursday. Dr. Pham's number is ###-###-#### and he speaks perfect English.

Good luck,
C.

Dr Aaron Miller of Houston Eye Associates in Tomball. His office is really good about getting people in to see the Dr. without a longggggg wait. He did eye surgery on my 3 1/2 yr old who has Strabismus. Dr. Miller is great with kids, and takes the time to make sure he answers ALL of your questions. He also gave me his email address for questions as they come up which he actually answers same day or by early next morning. If you are interested in his phone/address let me know.
