So What Happened?

Many thank you's for all of the wonderful advice. For now we are going to go with Univ Peds and if that place does not work for us, we have received excellent advice of other pediatricians close to us. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Hi ~ I saw your question for advice for a location of a new pediatrician in the University area. I was glad to have read your posting. Although I have no suggestions for you, my husband and I are relocating to the Davis Lakes area as well in the end of March 2007-April 2007. We have a 14 month old daughter. You'll have to keep me posted on which peditrician you end up choosing and let me know your feedback. Small world! S. , Lakeland, FL

I'm in the University Area, same as you, and I take our son to University Pediatrics (at Harris and Tryon). He sees Dr. Christopher Lakin and we love him. We have also seen other doctors for sick appointments and haven't been disappointed with anyone. Good luck!

Hey M.

A lot of the mom's suggest University Pediatrics, that is also who I use, but there is a different location closer to where you are it's on Prosperity Church Road now. Both of my daughters have seen Dr. Moore, since they were born, but have seen pretty much everyone else too.

I'm not sure which part of Charlotte you are moving to but I have the best ped in the world. I absolutely love her. I'm in NE Charlotte (University Area). If you'll be in this area I would def suggest her. Good luck...

What part of Charlotte? We go to Huntersville Peds - their website is http://huntersvillepedsandim.com/ - They are wonderful! Dr. Lake is our daughters doctor, but also recommend Dr. Barrocas (he's my doctor). Good luck!

I'm not sure what area you are looking in, but I take my 6 month old to Arboretum pediatrics and love it. It is in South Charlotte, 51 and Providence Rd. Ask for Dr Satterfield or Dr Dews. They are wonderful. ###-###-####.

Hi M.,

It would help to know what part of Charlotte you are looking in. Charlotte is a big city and there are a lot of great doctors here. I live in north Charlotte, my parents live in south Charlotte and, without traffic, it takes me a good 1/2 hour to get to their house. You might start by looking at the "local business reviews" section of this web site under health and medical and then pediatricians and pediatric health (I think). I am very pleased with Charlotte Pediatric Clinic (they have a number of offices), but it depends on where you'll be living.

Good luck!!

We go to Dr. Ryan at Eastover Pediatrics. Although it is a larger practice so you have to wait, the benefits are: 24 hour on call nurse, weekend appts, same day appts. Dr. Giftos is also nice there.
