Ok first off let me give you some background on me...I have a little boy who didnt show up on a blood or urine test I had to be rushed to the ER because I was having so much abdominal pain and back pain I could barely stand it. I thought for sure I was NOT pregnant because of multiple negative blood test. The doctors were dumbfounded and sent me for an ultrasound really because they had no idea what was the problem. It turned out I was 8 weeks pregnant with my baby boy and he just apparantly wanted me to know he was there. With my daughter she showed up on a HPT two days after my missed period. Well now I am 2 weeks late and I feel the same exact way that I felt when I was pregnant with my son. The doctors once again have no idea what is going on with my body...We have done around 8 HPT test all negative, 2 urine tests at the doctors office and 1 blood test all negative. Which doesnt really suprise me! Plus we have always done this pencil trick that shows past children and if you are pregnant it will also show that too but you have to be pregnant...Well my pencil trick is showing an additional two boys which it has never done before!!! Do you think I am crazy or do you think I may be pregnant also...I just feel like something is different with my body!

The pencil test is where you have a pencil that you stick a needle in the center of with thread through it...you can either put it over your wrist or stomach...It will go up and down like for example fingers to wrist for a boy and for a girl it will go side to side...I have had two kids already and both pregnancy it told me b4 ultrasound that I would have a boy and then when I found out I was pregnant with my second...a girl and now for some reason it is showing an additional two boys! We have tried it on over 100 people and it has never been wrong...It will also show miscarriages it will go in a circle...It does it for all past and current pregnancies...I dont know how it works but like I said it has never been wrong...
Well I finally went to a doctor who didn't think I was crazy and she did an ultrasound. I miscarried twins I was bout 2 months pregnant and it never showed up on a PT test. Very h*** o* my husband and me but we are thinking about another baby now! The pencil test now shows I have boy girl miscarriage, and miscarriage...and yes now it is showing a boy again too! So excited at the possibility of a new little one.
I have had negative pregnancy tests when I had a tubal pregnancy so watch out!! It didn't show up on a pregnancy test, but I believe it did show up on a blood test or urine in the ER: it cost me my one tube when the tubal pregnancy (which had been removed) came back a month later. Be very careful!!
Hi B. - I dont think your crazy. We know how our bodies feel and all too often, if it doesnt show up on a blood test, then docs are hesitant to believe us.
Why not just ask to do another ultrasound? It would either rule out or confirm a pregnancy at least.

Well you know your body best! And I was the same. I could tell you days before any pregnancy test (even the early ones) could. Go with your gut. Did they do an ultrasound yet? Your body can mimic pregnancy symptoms, so keep that in mind. But once again if YOU FEEL IT, it's probably positive. All of our bodies react differently so these "conventional" methods of finding out we are pregnant don't always work. Hormone levels have ALOT to do with it so if there are not enough hormone levels present to "show" a pregnancy then they do not work. Keep us updated. And take care. :0) G

I would continue on as if I WERE pregnant. Schedule an u/s with the doc at what could/should be 8 weeks and just see from there. If all the 'usual' stuff is not a good marker for you, then you can count on it not being a way to tell. Besides, most women make healthier choices when they are pregnant, so what is to loose huh??

I am not sure if I get it, what part of the pencil do you stick it through? do you mean through the "lead" or what? how big should the pencil be? I want to do this test.
