My daughter will be one year old on August 16th and i would like to get her into a child care setting soon after. Right now my mom is watching her and she is attending Mother's Day Out twice a week also. We live in Richardson but i work in down town Dallas so anything in b/t would be OK. Does anyone have suggestions for a child care center that they know is trustworthy and accredited.

What can I do next?

I highly recommend Primrose Schools. Here is the web-site to help find the closest location to you. They are accredited and the best around for teaching children.

Good luck!

K.. My mother runs a Christian daycare out of her home in Carrollton. She is WONDERFUl! She kept my son (of course) and she gets all of her referrals from previous customers. I'm not sure if she has an opening, but it is worth trying out. You can contact her at ____@____.com

I use a mother's day out which goes to 5 days a week and very affordable near Downtown Dallas around City Place - COTI Mother's Day out. Also Park Cities Day School on Inwood just north of Lovers is good. It also has internet cams so you can check on your kids during the day.

I have a 3 yr old boy and 2 yr old girl, who have always stayed with family. recently i enrolled them in a kindercare located at Arapaho/Springcreek (near coit/arapaho) the kids were not cool with it, but after approx 2 months of going they are starting to be cool with it. everyone is very sweet and best of all, the director of the facility will work with you. my children needed childcare mostly in the afternoons/part time, and she was the only facility i came across in north dallas that would take my children part time in the evenings (this helped financially) i like them and trust them. my children always give their teachers hugs when the get there and when they leave. i love that they are very affectionate...i think that is very important to teach your children. Their phone number is ###-###-####.

you have a lot of good suggestions. I have my twin girls at Children's Choice in Richardson if that's convenient at Jupiter and George Bush, and they have a larger facility at Medical City (75 & Central). I have a friend who has children at the Med City location and she loves it. They have certified teachers and my children have learned a lot there; staff always seem friendly. to me the price seems very reasonable but I have not really shopped around. They offer extended hours if that is important to you. good luck.

Unity Church of Dallas on Forest between Hillcrest and Preston is FANTASTIC! The class sizes are small and the care givers are so loving. ###-###-#### ext 233 is the dayschool number.
