If by unruly you mean curly? Ruby LeMond at Vanguardia on 4th St. in Long Beach is your girl. She is the curly queen and gave my hair new life.

I also live in San Pedro and have a fabulous hairdresser for you. She is at Snipz Salon at the corner of PV Drive North and Western Avenue. Her name is Phyllis. I can't even tell you how long she has been doing my hair, but I trust her more than anyone. Send me a message and I will give you her direct number so you can give her a call. I see her every 6 to 8 weeks to touch up that horrible gray thing I going on now. Most of all she is very afforable, even on a tight budget she is my one "mom splurge".

The best kept secret in So Cal is Toni and Guy in Newport (Fashion Island.) They have wonderful hair stylists there and if you book your appointment on the night of class as a hair model, your cut if FREE. That's right FREE!! I have gone now for over a year. They cut my curly, waist length hair to a short and stylish chin length cut. I LOVE IT. Plus I have received all my follow-up cuts for free too. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

My brother, Sean Mickey, works out of the Art Luna Salon in Santa Monica. He is not cheap, but well worth it. I only get my hair cut twice a year...that is how long his cuts last. I get so many compliments when he cuts my hair.

Hi - I highly recommend Sara at Ultralux Salon http://www.ultraluxsalon.com/ at Redondo Beach. When i first moved to Torrance (3 years ago) I had a hard time finding someone I liked - hair is such a personal thing..:o)
and since then, i go to noone but Sara for cut, and color and hair styling tips.
She is patient and will listen to all your concerns and needs. If u do see her - tell her 'Zabby' says hi!

As for the salon - it is bright, spacious and very retro and all the staff is extremely pleasant and welcoming.
