Has anyone recently travelled on a plane with a baby, if so what is "acceptable" as far as what I can bring on board for my 14 month old son. I know formular is one, but what about milk since my son is not on formular anymore, solid food. Can I take these on board? I appreciate any kind of feedback.
Thanks

I just traveled with my 20 month-old daughter last weekend and all I can say is that every airport is a little different. DFW was great I was able to carry on milk (in a sippy cup) and diaper rash cream. I did let security know in advance that I had both which seems to make the process a little smoother. I could not bring juice in a sippy at another airport and I had milk in a plastic container (which still had the protective wrap on it) at yet another airport that I had to dispose of before going through security. I did not have any issues with the diaper rash cream at all three airports. You can purchase milk at the various shops inside the airport, which although not ideal since whole milk is hard to come by my daughter did not seem to mind milk with less fat. Solid foods should not cause you any problems.

We just went on a trip a week and a half ago with our 7 month old son. I didn't bring any baby food.I did bring formula but in powder form. I will tell you they took his diaper rash ointment and kept that. I think you can bring food/formula for the child, but you yourself will have to eat/drink it so they can make sure it is not toxic.

Have a safe trip!

I just flew this and last week. No problems. I had milk both ways. Crackers too. Without realizing it, I even carried on my hand sanitizer. International airlines might be a very different story.

I'm not sure of the new rules, but I know that they're posted on TripAdvisor.com. Good luck!
