Need Help with a Middle Name.

We decided not to find out the sex of our baby so I have to be prepared with both girl and boy names. If baby is a boy we have two options. David Gregory (Greg is my hubby's name) or Harvey Dan. If baby is a girl we are set on Julia but I need a middle name. I think I like Julia Love but I haven't run that by my hubby yet. So what do you ladies think? Julia love? or do you have other girl middle names for me to think about? Thanks.
K just talked to hubby and he hates Rose and Love so those names are out but I really want something girly. My two other girls are Eva Sophia and Layla Grace.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for all your great ideas. Yes for a boy I like David Gregory better but Dan in my husbands father's name so that is why we wanted an option with his name in it too. Although my hubby will still be in Iraq when I have this baby so I get the final say in the name. LOL For the girl name I really like Julia Rae, Julia Reese and my favorite is Julie Capri.....which I found online today. So next time I get to talk to my hubby I will see if he likes any of these new ones. Thanks again.

Love is a reaI nod back a few hundred years when girls were named after ideals and "everything nice". I actually have a greatX grandmother who was born in the Prov Rhode Island Colony named Freelove. But from the 1600's -mid 1800's girls were adorned with such names as Joy, Prudence, Temperence, Hope, Desire, Belle, Shibboleth, Justice, Electra, Experience... (Those and about 30 others are all just in my own extended family). Some of those names are still common today.

I love Love as a middle name.

I thought Grace too, then read that you already have a daughter with that middle name! There is a Julia Pauline in my son's daycare and I think that sounds nice. (Julia means youthful, downy)

Julia Adelle (noble, kind)
Julia Alexis (defender of the people)
Julia Azaria (God has helped)
Julia Brea (beauty beynd sight)
Julia Brianne (high, noble)
Julia Caitlyn (pure)
Julia Caroline (beautiful woman)
Julia Clarice (illustrious)
Julia Elisabeth (God is my oath)
Julia Estelle (star)
Julia Evelyn (beautiful bird)

(I went to babynames.com and clicked on girl names and just went through and found ones I thought sounded good with Julia. There are hundreds more if want to go through them!)

I like Julia Ann and Julia May. Do your other girls have your middle name? If not and if you have a middle name would it go well with Julia? Is there a woman in your family's life that you admire and adore that you could use for a middle name? Name are so hard especially when you don't know the sex but it is so fun to have a surprise! Good luck with your pregnancy!

I think Love is a cute middle name but I don't know how well it rolls off the tongue with Julia. Julia Love. Hmmmmmmm..... Maybe:

Julia Renee
Julia Belle
Julia Joan
Julia Kay

As for the boy name.... I like David Gregory more than Harvey Dan. I'm not a fan of Harvey. Reminds me of Paul Harvey. LOL! :) Congrats and let us know what you decide on!

I like Harvey as a first name because it is not so common but also not totally unusual. Julia Rose was my first thought before I finished reading the post. What about Julia Lily or Julia Marie? Congrats on the baby btw!

Well, I prefer David Gregory for the ring to it. Nothing wrong with Harvey, you don't hear it often. Harvey Daniel has a ring to it.
Julia is a beautiful name, whatever you put with it will be nice. I guess it depends on the syllables with your last name too.
Julia Pearl.
Julia Melody.
Julia Amber.
Julia Dawn. Julia Candace.
Julia Lovelyn.

Just some ideas. Have fun!

Aww, I loved reading this! I have a Julia Grace I also love Julia Anne, and I really like both your suggestions (Rose and Love). Or Julia Sophia? I'm sorry, I can't think of any more really good ones because when I think Julia, I think Grace :-). Although if it's a boy and it's going to be David Gregory, what about Julia Andrea, or what is your middle name? By the way, congrats!!

David Gregory makes me think of Meet The Press, since that's the hosts name. So, don't really care for that. Sounds like you like more unusual names so I might go for Harvey.

I second the one-syllable-middle-name idea along with Julia. You got some great ideas!

I know you didn't ask for opinions on boys' names, but I like David Gregory. I love it when the middle name is after someone...makes it meaningful, I think. I don't care for Harvey Dan. It makes me think of Paul Harvey and my friends' dog, Harvey. I HATE that dog!!!!

Good luck choosing!

So first off I have to say J. is an excellent choice for a girls name (but then, I'm biased!)

J. Rose is pretty (again, biased!). I would go with a single syllable name since J. is 3 syllables, and so it flows more smoothly. Grace, Lynn, Hope, Kate, Faith, etc :)
