Baby Girl Middle Name Help!

What is a good second middle name to go between Lucy and Eileen. Eileen is a family middle name, so it is a must. But the two don't flow together...maybe putting something between will help?

Our other daughter's name is Ella Skye.

What can I do next?

Lucy in the Sky with diamonds... LOVE the middle name Skye... probably for the best though that Ella has already claimed it.

Lucia Eileen has beautiful flow... if you wanted to open up her first name a bit... still Lucy for short.

You know... it's funny, I'm a huge fan of the double barreled middle name... but I can see why you're stuck.

Some one already mentioned this but I wanted to second it. I love Lucy Anne or Lucianne or with the ending 'e'. I think that flows and sounds very nice.

I actually think Lucy Eileen sounds really nice, but it might depend on your last name.

For our third daughter we named her Lucy Caroline ( both family names) and I absolutely love it. I think that Lucy Elieen does go together you just have to constantly say it to yourself and out loud. Our first daughter is Annie Elizabeth which at first I didn't like it so much but now i couldn't think of anything like better with Annie. I've noticed with all our daughters (the middle is just the classic Emily Jane) that they fit their names the first and the middle. Good luck and enjoy.

Lucy _____ Eileen...hm...

Lucy Ann Eileen seems to just be natural, but I wouldn't choose Anne because it is so plain. Let's see...

Lucianna is such a nice name, though, so maybe Lucy Anna Eileen? That sounds very nice...

If you are brace, you could just use a letter. Like, Lucy Q Eileen, Lucy U. Eileen....or maybe not. That doesn't sound so great.

You could pick something to go with Skye (I mean, one girl gets a name like Skye, the other Eileen? One or the other will be jealous.) Like, Lucy Star Eileen, Lucy Cloud Eileen, Lucy Rose Eileen...

How about Lucy Terra Eileen? Terra kind've sounds like Tara, so it'd be a real sounding name, but spelled terra and it's like terra-firma, like, the earth. So, you'd have sky and earth. I like that!

We chose Grace for our daughters middle name. I love it because it is simple but very sweet. So we have an Emmeline Grace.

Other ideas for middle name: Danielle..Kay...Ava/Eva...Raelynn..

I really liked the Lucianna idea..even if you chose to do it Lucy Anna...
Well, good luck..

Whatever you do, don't use May. It will sound like a question: Lucy, may I lean? Beware of double meanings. Even a beautiful name like Rose can look like: Lucy rose. I lean. Kids will play with almost any name. I just don't like to make it too easy. I went to school with a girl named Candice with the last name Korn. So, of course she was called Candy Korn.

Lucy Ann Eileen does seem to roll off the tongue sweetly. But, I would refrain from adding the extra syllable in Anna. Three two-syllable names in a row takes the lilt out of it. For the flow, it feels much better to go with either one or three (or even four) syllables between the two names with two syllables.

Lucy Helena Eileen (my first choice - explained below)
Lucy Maria Eileen
Lucy Angelica Eileen
Lucy Maleena Eileen
Lucy Sierra Eileen (pray she does not develop a lisp)
Lucy Pearl Eileen
Lucy Patricia Eileen
Lucy Aleeha Eileen (if you like alliteration)
Lucy Alecia Eileen (even more alliteration)
Lucy Viola Eileen
Lucy Madelyn Eileen
Lucy Alonda Eileen
Lucy Grace Eileen
Lucy Christina Eileen
Lucy Amanda Eileen
Lucy Jean Eileen
Lucy Arianna Eileen
Lucy Dawn Eileen
Lucy Miranda Eileen
Lucy Ann Eileen

I always suggest looking up the meanings of the name as well as considering the lyrical rhythm and sound. Lucy comes from the latin based languages for 'light'. Eileen is more difficult to nail down. It appears to stem from either English or Irish origins. I found a variety of possible meanings, from 'bird' to 'desired' to 'brilliant light'. Some say it is related to the Galic name 'Avila' and some say the English name 'Helen'. Helen or Helena means brilliant light. It could be quite beautiful to play on the relationship of Helena and Eileen as well as on the theme of the meaning of 'light' with the name, Lucy Helena Eileen. It has a poetic and lyrical flow as well as a poetically emphasized meaning 'Light, Brilliant Light, Brilliant Light. There are a number of websites that will provide the etymology and meaning of names.

Congratulations on daughter number two! I hope this was helpful.

are you doing lucy or lucielle? or like a previous poster suggesed lucia. And I love the name Grace in the middle

Lucielle Grace Eileen or
Lucia Grace Eileen or maybe skip the lucy part and go with Grace Eileen? I am not a big fan of double middle names only because when you fill out most forms there is not room for a name that big lol.
