Need Dual Stroller Recommendations

I have a 6 month old and am now pregnant with our second child. I would like recommendations for dual strollers--I've heard such mixed reviews about tandem versus side by side, and most parents I've spoken to either hate or are ambivalent about their dual stroller. Also, any other recommendations/advice other mommies may have about having two young children so close together would be appreciated!

What can I do next?

I have a Graco Deluxe double stroller. Mine is black and white paisley print. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It is front and back. I hate side by side strollers! They are a waste of space in my opinion. And trying to go shopping with them is another story!
I have a side by side jogging stroller and i would ONLY use it to go walking or running.
My Graco folds down small. It is a little heavy but i think you get what you pay. Its definitely a great stroller.
Let me know if you want more specs!

My kids are pretty close in age, 19mos. I opted for a side by side because you could fully recline each individual seat for naps. I had to opt for a light weight version because I had some pretty nasty sciatica issues during and post pregnancy. I bought the Peg Perego Aria because it is only 15 lbs. The only drawback to that was that when my youngest got to be about 2, the stroller was a little difficult to manuver. I think the kids weight combine with the small wheels was the problem. I had this stroller several years ago, and maybe improvements have been made since then. I loved it though, until the kids got too big. It stayed in nice condidtion and I was able to resell it for about 75% of the price that I paid for it.

I have also been looking to buy a dual stroller (30 wks pregnant) and have fallen in love with Phil and Ted's dual stroller. Every time I see one I stop & ask the parents and they always rave about it. The only reason I haven't gotten it yet is because of the price (and the fact that I spent over $500 on strollers with my first). Seriously though, you have to check it out:

As for now, I think I'm going to try to use the Baby Bjorn with the baby while push the 2.5 year old in the stroller, we'll see how long it lasts...

I have a two year old and three month old. We have two dual strollers. The BOB revolution Dualie is the BEST! My husband and I are joggers and this stroller is great for running and for just strolling around. It fits through every door even though it is a side by side. We have our 3 month old in her Graco snugride with an adapter that you can put on the dualie. It is a little heavy though so we don't take it in the car. For the car we bought the Joovy Caboose Ultralight, which is a sit and stand. It is also GREAT! My two year old loves standing on the back, and again the infant car seat just sits right in it. This probably won't work for you though, since your kids be even closer in age. If mine were closer together I probably would have purchased the Phil and Ted's. Its pretty expensive but seems like the best bet for a tandem, dual stroller with kids that are close in age. Good luck!

I have the graco duo glider that I purchased at USA Baby (I reccomend there because its the better version then babies r us plus you get to pick your pattern). I love it. There is some more expensive strollers out there, but this is easy to push, colapse, and its not that heavy for a double stroller. My daughter was 5 mos. old when I found out I was preggo with my son. They are 14 mos apart to the day. I then continued and had 3 in 2 1/2 years. I was so scared too when I found out I was preggo agian. But honestly it took me about a week before I got into the routine, and now that they are 2 and 3 its great. You are endlessly in diapers, but now I can't imagine having them further apart, they are so close. When he falls she is the first one there saying "its ok sisters here, do you need a kiss?" giving him a hug the whole time. I think they truely have a very special bond because they are so close. It wont be as bad as you are thinking! I just remember being so scared! I do have some great tricks for doing things x2 (well x3 now) if you need. Let me know!

A side-by-side Mclaren stroller is great. I have an 11 month old and a 33 month old and it still works great :-). I fly a lot to noerthern CA with my 2 boys and it helps me out sooo much, so I can't complain.

I hope this helps!

After wasting money on stroller after stroller we ended up with the BOB Revolution Duallie (if only I had found it sooner). I LOVE IT!! It is a jogger/walker but you don't have to use it for working out! It fits through most if not all doorways, it is light and so easy to maneuver! We take it everywhere!

My friend owns www.joggermom.com she has a lot of stroller experience - check out her site!

Congratulations!

I actually really like my Combi Twin Savvy side-by-side stroller - http://www.combistrollers.com/ProductDetails.aspx?Categor.... Check e-bay for better prices and more color options (mine is pink for my 2 girls. It is the only one (I think) that you can latch an infant car seat to - if you also buy the Combi connection car seat (which is on the small side)- http://www.combistrollers.com/ProductDetails.aspx?product....

This stroller folds together nicely and is lightweight (for a double).
