Need Christmas Gift Idea for Kids Who Have Everything!!!

My two daughters have been spoiled. Between my husband and I and both sets of Grandparents it seems our children have everything, and did I mention they play with almost none of it. And the Grandparents seem to think bigger is better, so our house is full of large doll houses, kitchen, puppet stages, you name it.... Anyway with Christmas coming up my husband and I decided that we wanted to keep Christmas a little more low key for the kids, as in not buy everything we see and only get them those few gifts that they will totally love and appreciate. I am desperate for ideas. I have two girls, 5 and 3 1/2, and a 15 month old little boy. My girls love to color and do crafts, so I don't know if there is something out there they would just love. I would love any oppinions on gifts, or if your kids have something they love. I appreciate all ideas, thanks.

What can I do next?

Hi S.! That is tough when kids have everything to find something they will truly like and not just throw in the closet! lol

I run a traveling party business website is www.myhuggableparty.com so here is an idea for you. You say your girls like crafts. What I do is go to people's homes or daycares or weddings or corporate picnics, anywhere and I help kids hand stuff an animal or purse of their choice. So, since your girls are crafty they might like this. You can check out my website at www.myhuggableparty.com and you can see that I have TONS of animals and purses to choose from.

If you are in my area I will come to you and we can either have a small party for your kids and play Christmas music, have gingerbread cookies, sip on hot chocolate and stuff a moose or polar bear (or any animal you want) and dress them in winter clothes. Or you can choose the animals you want and order them online and have them shipped directly to you OR you can order the animals from me and MOJO Mascot can deliver them to your children!!

Your son might be too little to really get into this but you can choose an animal for him as well and you or Daddy can help him stuff it. This makes for a great family activity. If you choose to order the animals for Christmas then you can do this activity as a family Christmas morning!!

I also do princess parties so I have lots of affordable dress up items you can choose from for the girls...

If you want to talk about any of this or order online email me at ____@____.com and I will give you a code so that you will receive $5 off of each regular priced cuddly collectible on my website!! Which will basically take care of your shipping cost.

You can see my business listing and a review from a Mamasource mom under Local Business Reviews, the name of my business is My Little Bug Parties *AND* Noah's Ark Animal Workshop. I also have a coupon listed under the NEW Member Perks section so check that out too!!

I hope you find what you are looking for. Good luck and have fun!!

I might be a little off the wall here but........I have an almost 13 yr old only child with everything you can imagine. Spoiled....YES.

We give gifts of collectible coins. This can be like a proof set from a special year, special Morgan silver dollars, and many other things to choose from.

There are websites we have used. There is also a place in Plano at 15th St just east of 75 called Lone Star Mint. We have bought gifts there. Our daughter and other children enjoy the new shiny coins to collect.

In the end, if they save the coins, etc. They can reap a benefit (although maybe small) but it is a delayed gratification type of gift.

I own a local company, Mind Your Own Beeswax - Candles, Soaps & Gifts. I'd be happy to send you a catalog or let you know which shows we'll be at. We can even personalize the products for them - their name and/or picture.

I have a 5 yr old girl that is a little on the spoiled side too! ;-) She is very artsy and has recently gotten into making jewelry. There are all kinds of kits that you can get from Target, Wal-mart, Michaels, etc. the ones I like the best are the Melissa & Doug ones from Learning Express. The beads are a little bigger and it's easier for her. She also really likes the paint by number, sticker by number, magnets by number pictures. they're fun & help them w/ their numbers & colors. Here's an example:

HTH!!! Good luck!! :-)
