Here is my problem. I have a fungal infection that I've had the better part of 8+ years. It's on my feet and toes mostly, but maybe on my hands and inside my ears. I've given up treating it in the past because the pills that are taken by mouth are very expensive and the creams don't work and the doctor visits get expensive when nothing works.

I'm getting worse I think and it's spread to the point that I probably have to do something. I'm hoping someone knows certain vitamins or herbs that have helped them.

Thanks
Suzi

coconut oil is also an anti-fungal I think. I also hear of using LIsterine as a foot soak when you have toenail fungus.

I had a strange fungus on my feet too, for several years, Clusters of small blisters that would itch so horrible I thought Id go crazy! Then they would break, and sting, and then crust over and then go away for a few days,, and come back spreading a bit farther. It was just one foot for years, and when it started on the other I finally went to the dermotoligist. Of course they gave me a 40 letter word to name it, and a huge bill for meds, and nothing worked. My sister jokingly(I thought) kept saying to soak my feet in vinegar. After years, and I mean years, she said, SOAK YOUR FEET IN VINEGAR! So I did, 30 minutes one night, both feet while I was online chatting with her. Did it 2 nights later again. Within 4 days the itch was gone, the blisters were fading and I was thrilled! A few days later I soaked again just to make sure and its been about a year now and I havent seen any blisters and have no itching at all. SOAK YOUR FEET IN VINEGAR!! not sure about the ears but you can do the hands too. I was truely amazed! Ive called the derms office and told them. They laughed at me.

Try soaking them in apple cider vinegar. Also, get an unscented lotion and add "oil of oregano" to it. You will smell like a pizza but the stuff works. it sounds like you may have an overgrowth of yeast in your body and could use a full yeast cleanse regimen. back that up with probiotics so that once you cleanse your body wont produce more to make up for it. After all is said and done, wear only 100% white cotton socks, and do weekly soaking in the vinegar followed by a pedicure. Your local health food store will have all that. your shopping list is.

Apple cider vinegar...i like braggs brand
oil of oregano- be sure to get the undiluted kind
plain lotion---extra emmolient
yeast cleanse---get the one the employees recommend (as long as they don't make commission )
probiotocs-- the non shelf stable kind can promise more live strains

You can take the oil of oregano by mouth in a small glass of water, daily. Be careful it burns going down.
Soak affected areas daily in vinegar water. Apply tea tree oil daily.

I have to agree that apple cider vinegar. It really has a lot of benefits. You can rub it on your feet and toes. There are pills that you can take every day. Probiotics are another good choice. I would talk to the people at the health food store.

I don't know of any certain herbs/vitamins that would be specific to your condition. But, I recently went to a Chinese Herbalist for a problem and she prescribed a tea for my problem and it helped a great deal. Just a thought...may be worth checking out.

Something close to this was asked the other day. Tea tree oil seemed to be a popular remedy. There were some other good options too. Maybe you can do a search on 'toe fungus' and look through those responses too. It was in the last couple of days.

Check out People's pharmacy(online) it has some great tried and true tips- they suggest soaking your feet in vinegar, but there are some other remedies too.

I second oil of oregano. You can actually mix it with olive oil & put it directly on the infected area, in addition to taking it orally. If you don't like the taste, they do make capsules.
