I have a son who is 6. Today, out of the blue I noticed that his teeth are yellow, I mean REALLY yellow. This has come on all of a sudden. No joke they almost look like corn in his mouth. He ALWAYS has regular check ups and cleanings and has never had any cavities. My neighbor also noticed it today and asked if he had been eating something yellow. She too is very concerned that this has happened so suddenly. I plan to call the dr first thing Monday morning, but in the mean time, I am having problems finding anything on the web other than brush your teeth better, etc. It is NOT a tooth brushing issue. He uses Crest toothpaste, brushes twice a day. He has only taken antibotics like three times in his whole life. I am worried. Any thoughts Moms?
drinking caffine can cause yellowing in teeth, but are you 100% sure he is brushing his teeth for around 2 minutes with good toothpaste?
Did he maybe get into something and he isn't telling you? The fact that it's SO sudden makes me think perhaps he got into something strongly pigmented. Other than that I'm stumped. Good luck on Monday with the doc!
antibiotics can stain the teeth. I've never heard of this just happening over night tho. Maybe he ate something that left a temporary stain?
Any chance your water source has changed? We moved into a new home this summer. Our new construction had a well as our water source. I noticed my son's teeth were yellow shortly after we moved and was glad we had a dentist appt soon. I was told it was "deposits" from our water well. The yellowness was polished away when they did his cleaning.

Trauma to the teeth, liver disorders and vitamin deficiencies can cause that. Maybe you can look into those a little more. I think trauma usually causes graying of the teeth though. And vitamin issues may not be sudden. Those are just the things I found online. I agree w/ maybe some caffeine or even tea if he is allowed to drink either of those? Good luck and keep us posted!
Try having him brush his teeth with baking soda as a thick paste. You may want to brush them for him. Do this several times today. Its probably food dye from the food he has eaten since it came all of a sudden. I would try googling foods that dye your teeth or causes your teeth to turn colors. Good luck..
my osn can only use colgate total or his teeth get like that. I also got him a spinning toothbrush which helped alot
