Need idea where to find affordable, tea length, dresses for a formal wedding. I've tried the major departments stores but now want to look online. Does anyone know of any websites to try that might have something unique?? My favorite so far has been Zulily but so far no luck there either. By "affordable" I mean under $200.

What can I do next?

I've been using Rent the Runway for several years with outstanding results. Yes, the dresses are on models on the main page, but when you click on a style you like you can see real women wearing the garment. Plus, you can choose either a 4 day or 8 day rental and they send you a back up size (you choose to size up or down). You are renting designer garments for a fraction of the cost. You don't even have to clean the garment you wear, just pack it up in the bag it arrived in and drop it off in a UPS shipment center. It is SO easy! I highly recommend!

I would be checking consignment shops. These worn-once dresses show up all the time, and you'll have the advantage of being able to try them on. I have a hard time buying on line unless it's socks or a jacket.

I’ve had great results at lightinthebox.com and jjshouse.com. My daughter attended two proms and the dress we purchased from light was custom made by her measurements. It was absolutely beautiful. JJ’s was bought without customizing and turned out fine but my favorite was light. They both have a lot of wedding party clothes and accessories.

Congrats and I hope they have many beautiful years together. ❤️

David’s Bridal is known for a wide assortment of styles and prices.

Also check the online Facebook and Nextdoor apps for online sales. This time of year you see a lot of dresses for proms, weddings and formals that have only been worn once!

I know thrift shops aren't for everyone, but I have so many designer things that I swear were brand new....some still had tags. Just a thought for a one-time deal. I make the rounds every Saturday...I'm hooked!

A lot of the bridal stores have inexpensive dresses. I have had to purchase several flower girl dresses and they have ranged in price from $59.99 to $299.00. Depends on what you are looking for and what price you want to spend.

Book an appointment with a fitter at one and then let them help you. Don't wait too long or you will have to pay for express shipping.

the problem with websites is the sizing- you never know how it's going to go, and this is too important to trust to great return policies.

other than the pyramid collection, with which i've had great luck. but their stuff may not be your style.
