Mom's Group in Schaumburg

Hi D.,
I am a member and soon to be regional coordinator for a group called PACES (Parent and Child Educatin and Support Organization). It is a parent group that meets once a month in Glen Ellyn. There are also mom and tot events, family outings, mom nights out, etc. Check out the website for more detailed information: pacesmoms.org. i'm not sure what your parenting style is, but there is an attachment parenting international chapter based in schaumburg. you can find the group on yahoo groups or at the attachment parenting international web site. it's a group of moms spread around the suburbs who all breastfeed, cosleep, practice babywearing, etc. very down to earth group of educated women.

Have you tried www.meetup.com (type in playgroup or SAHM). I have gone in my area and it's really fun. Most of the mom's are really nice and it's a great forum.

It was so weird to read your post ... we have practically the same line up. I am SAHM to a 9yr old, 28 month old and 7 month old. All Boys!!

We are still in Indianapolis and we are relocating to the Schaumburg area (tentatively) at the end of July. I only know a handful of people in the Chicago area ... none of which are moms with children still at home.

As far as a Mom's group, I don't know of any, and have never been involved in one. Could you keep me in mind if you find something suitable to your needs?
