I was wondering if anyone knows of any playgroups or mom and me groups for my 9 month old in Citrus Heights area or close by. I am having trouble finding any for the young ones.I did find ones for older kids.
If anyone has any ideas please send them my way.

I belong to one in Citrus Heights through Meetup.com. It isn't just infants, but there are plenty of those too. It is a nice range of kids from about 2 months to 5. There are plenty of babies and toddlers, so almost everyone has at least a couple of kids around their same age. The name of the group is Citrus Heights Stay at Home Moms. The organizers are great and they schedule plenty of meetups so that you if you can't make everyone it isn't a big deal since you have plenty of other chances to get together. If you want more information just send me a private message and I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

gymboree is a great way to meet moms and babies the same age. It is a playgroup once a week, and a lot of the times they get together outside of gymboree. check out the website.

Hi A.,
I host a playgroup in Fair Oaks, right at the boarder of Citrus Heights on Dewey Drive, near Del Campo. There are both infants and toddlers.
I have a 2 year old and a 7 month old. There is also another mom who attends with a 8 month (maybe 9 month) old.
We're a pretty small group - between 4 or 5 moms attend each week. We meet every Weds. at 11am.
If you're interested in joining us, let me know and I'll send you the address!

Dear A.,
I hope you can find a playgroup in the Citrus Heights area. If you do - great! But also consider starting one! However that works out, consider applying for a Community Grant from First 5 Sacramento. They know that playgroups and other groups where moms and caregivers get together can be so very important for families and the community as a whole. Check out their website at www.first5sacramento.net The activities must be for kids zero to five years and help parents (or caregivers) connect/network in Sacramento County. The grants can be for up to $5000 for projects up to one-year. The grants have funded playgroups, art and music activities and other great ideas. The application is pretty simple and the staff helps with the process. Good luck - J.

I'm part of an awesome group and have been since 2006. It's through meetup.com and it's Citrus Heights Moms Group. I have two girls and they have both grown up in the group (now age 3 and 1).
