Topically on the eyes is difficult. High grade tea tree oil will get rid of it but NEVER put it near the eyes. The chin would be fine.

Viruses tend to stay away from people that have healthy digestive systems. Kid's L-Lysine will get rid of it. It's an amino acid that is depleted with certain illnesses/stress and needs to be replenished. The virus will go away with particular digestive enzymes as well. I used a product for the chicken pox called Virostop by Enzymatic Therapy. You can ask at the health store and they should be able to help with any particulars for your son.

The natural community has a better handle on viruses than the medical community. Cutting a virus tends to make it spread ( like a fever blister) so removing them, especially around the eyes could be dangerous.

Some friends of mine used "The Silver Cure" on their 1 year old daughter. It worked well. It is a colloidal silver gel they placed on it. I believe the website is thesilvercure.com They had originally taken her to a dermatologist who cut them off, but they came back twice. After using this stuff, she has never had it back.

Well...the dermatologist will numb the area before cutting anything off. I'm not sure why you are scared. You don't have to watch. The best thing is for your son to close his eyes while you talk or sing softly to him--you can close your eyes too.

If they aren't spreading (and you can keep him from scratching them) leave them a while longer. It can take a year for it to clear on its own. If they come to a "head" break them open with something sterile, wipe them with alcohol or peroxide, and keep covered with a bandage until they heal.
