I want to make my husband something different and tasty for his lunch for work tomorrow. Its our anniversary, and I generally pack him sandwiches in his lunch everyday, so I want to make it a bit different and special. Any ideas? Thanks :)

What can I do next?

Thanks for all the wonderful ideas ladies! All appreciated and will be used in the future lunches :) He cant meet me for lunch anywhere, doesnt get long to eat sometimes cause he is a soldier in the army BUT he is able to come home today! :) So I am cooking lunch instead. Cheese stuffed ravioli, salad, and french bread, and a cheesecake for desert. Thank you all so much!

My husband likes it when I make SPICY PASTA SALAD (add jalepenos and/or tabasco to the italian dressing, noodles, and olives. Add a note that says "Still Hot for you."

Chicken salad sandwiches on a nice sourdough bread is also one of our fam favorites.

Make some sweet cookies or brownies and then cut the brownies with a heart cookie-cutter.

Fruit salad.

Garden salad with lots of yummy cheese, crutons, chunks of meat, olives, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, avocado ....... Don't forget the dressing.

With no microwave, you're limited. Can you meet him for a lunch date?

Does he have a microwave at work?
I like the idea of a wrap with a note: "still wrapped up with you..." :-)

You could make sandwiches on croissant rolls from the store bakery using different types of meats and cheeses that you do not normally use. the rolls are moon shaped so stick in a note that your over the moon for him. If he likes olives and pickles put some in a baggie. Make his favorite cookies put those in.

Maybe a wrap instead of a sandwich?
you could do a fancier sandwich than usual, too.
A pasta salad is easy for lunch
Does he have access to a microwave?
If so, burritos are good

What about a gift card for a restaurant and a note that you'll meet him there for lunch? That would be a fun change of pace and you'd get to see each other midday.

I love Danielle's Idea. Meeting him for lunch. Thats great. Not sure if you can do that or not, but its a great idea!

You could always make him the same type lunch as usual but put in his favorite beverage and a special homemade treat (or store bought if he likes).

Maybe some edible undies? LOL
