Looking for Someone to Convert Video Camera Tapes into VHS Tapes or Dvd's

Hi ladies! Our Sony video camera broke before we could convert the video tapes from it to regular VHS tapes or DVD's. I don't want to lose any of that precious footage. Do you know of anyone that can save these tapes and convert them. Note: they are also about 8 years old.

What can I do next?

Contact Clayton Colbertz with the Dallas Producers Association - they have a very large membership list and many who work in the conversion of tapes - I would go DVD however as VHS is becoming obsolete. www.dallasproducers.org or .com.

Good luck!

You might try U-Edit. It's in Richardson, off 75 just north of Arapaho on the east side.

Be careful! Whomever you use, make sure they are not sending your video tapes out of the area. There are low cost places, but many ship them out of state (and some out of the country). The risk you have is losing them!

There are places like U-Edit and other video services that will do this for you. Search your area by doing a Google search.

Try Costco's photo department. They do stuff like this.

This is the reply that I told someone else about that was looking for a photographer, but she also put all my old movies on CD for me for a great price... Please check her out... she's great, and when she sent the movies back to me, she made sure that she mailed the new CD's in a separate box, just in case one or the other got lost in the mail. She's very thoughtful!

I was looking for someone to take motocross pictures of my grandson for a reasonable price and found Tammy. She provided me with the link to her website where I could download the pictures and also put them on CD for me. Along with taking the pictures for me, she has also put all my old 8mm movies on CD for me and did it all for a great price. Here is here website: www.TammyKayPhoto.com please let her know if you call her that I referred you, I would love for her to know that I thought she was awesome

Mark Young may be able to help. He is in Murphy. I know his website has artsy videos with music, but all I had him do was convert my son's ultrasound from VHS to DVD.

I don't know if you have taken in your camera yet, but if not then I highly recommend U-Edit in Richardson right off of Central next to Cake Carousel. They are very professional, and they will take good care of you. Ask for Shawn Hadd to take care of you. I trust him with all my video needs. Tell him K. sent you.
