Looking for Pediatrician Who Will Accept Delayed Vaccine Schedule

My children are not fully vaccinated and we have decided to complete the process. However, we do not want to give them multiple shots at once and we'd like to space it out some. We figure we can get them completed within the next year.
It seems that no pediatrician will accept this and all want them to "catch up" faster. We didn't delay shots to give multiple shots, especially because there is a family history (their cousin) of bad vaccine reactions.
I am even willing to sign and get the schedule notarized.
Does anyone know of a pediatricina who would work with us? We would be willing to see one in Fairfield, Trumbull, Shelton, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, Norwalk, Darien.
Thank you so much for your help.

So What Happened?

Thanks to all for your help. I checked into a few of the docs mentioned. Through much research, we decided to go with Bay Street Peds. in Westport. A very nice practice, two nice female docs, who will work with our delayed schedule.

I recently switched my pediatrician because of the same concerns. We switched to Canterbury Pediatrics in Monroe. They are really great and currently doing the exact thing for my daughter who is 14 months. Best of luck and follow your own judgement.

Hi J.,

This was a topic of discussion with one of my Mom's groups a few months ago...Mommydates- a group for Moms in the Trumbull, Milford and Fairfield area. Check it out on Yahoo Groups if you are interested.
Some of the Mom's mentioned the following Doctors allowed them to space out vaccines. You should call and double check their policy.
Dr. Soto- Trumbull Pediatrics
Dr. Sollinger and Dr. Owens with The Willows Pediatric group in Westport.
All the best,
B.

You might want to call Randy Schulman in Trumbull. She is the owner of The Total Learning and Therapy Center.

Randy was my daughter's doctor when she needed vision therapy (she has 20/20 sight) and assistance with sensory integration dysfunction.

I believe in be extra cautious when giving vaccines, too!
