I don't know how many moms out there are diabetics, but I am looking for a new doctor to help me with my diabetes. I've been having some problems lately and my current doctor (or internest I should say) is not giving me any soulutions.

What can I do next?

I really like my endocrinologist, Dr. Sander Paul. He was recommended to me by a physician I don't personally go to, who refers his own patients to him. He has a great bedside manner, listens to your concerns carefully and then comes up with a plan both of you can work with - can't say enough good things about him. I have never had a significant wait in his office either. His office is located on 12 Mile in Berkley. Phone number is 248/543-3700.

D.-

I am a diabetic as well. I am a type 2 diabetic. Type 2 is a non-insulin dependent diabetic. Feel free to contact me with questions about diabetes. I have been a diabetic since February of 2006. I have learned most of information from my mother-in-law who is also a diabetic.

My husband has type 1 diabetes and is VERY particular about his doctors. He has been going to see Dr. Grungerger (http://www.gdi-pc.com/) for several years now and has had an amazing experience and a great outcome so far.

Good luck!

D.,
I work at Beaumont hospitals and I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Suchitra Bhakta, MD. Phone ###-###-####. She is located on West 12mi Rd in Berkley. She treats me for hypothyroidism and I just love her. She is WONDERFUL!! So knowledgeable and wonderful to talk to. Very personalized care, as she has no partners. Good luck.

Hi, D.!

This may be more of a drive than you would care for, and she's not a specialist doctor to my knowledge, but what she can do is amazing! Her name is Dr. Kyle Morgan and she is in Ypsilanti, but she is well worth the drive. My step-mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and Dr. Kyle cured her, baffling her other doctors! Here is the website with more info on Dr. Kyle and her contact info http://doctorkyle.com/index.html

If you click on the "services" tab and go down and click "more on detoxification", I think the woman in case #3 is actually my step-mom! I firmly believe that without Dr. Kyle, neither my step-mother nor my father would be alive today and my sister, who was diagnosed with MS 8 years ago, would be in a wheelchair by now. Most docs today are interested in treating symptoms, not finding cures. Dr. Kyle is not one of them.

I hope this helps! God bless you in your search!
