Looking for a Younger Mom's Group

I met mothers of all ages. There are plenty of activities for you + play groups for your son. There is a very active website with something for everyone. You're bound to find a few mothers (there are MANY) who you have a lot in common with and you wind up doing stuff together in addition to group activities.

I'm no longer a member because we had twins and the local twins group is a better fit for us now. But I'm going to brunch next month with some current & former moms from Eastside Mothers & More, and I'm really glad that I joined when we moved out.

Check out the Dragonflies and Ladybugs play group on meetup.com. I joined awhile back and have had a lot of fun meeting up with other moms with kids my daughter's age.

I think Seattle (and the immediate suburbs) has one of the higher numbers of first-time moms who are over 25 in the US...That said, you should keep in mind that having friends the same age as you is something that will sort of shift as you get older, have kids, have different jobs, live in different areas, etc. I have many great friends that I've made through my life-experiences (including being a mom) that are 10+ years older than me, and even 10 years younger than me (I'm 35). Just be open to meeting women who have similar interests as you and similar situations. Also, don't feel intimidated by women who are also first-time moms who happen to be older than you; it's a new and challenging experience for ANY woman regardless of age!

There's a bunch of meetup.com groups in the area that I'd encourage you to try. Many of them have a broad range of ages for the mamas and I've yet to meet anyone who cared what your marital status was.
