Looking for a Supportive Pro VBAC Doctor in San Fernando Valley. Please Help!

I don't know of one in the Valley, but I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Dwight at Good Samaritan hospital. A friend of mine just had a successful VBAC with him last year, and she can't say enough great things about him. I believe his VBAC success rate is 85%, and his c-section rate is around 5%, which to me says good OB! I'm having my third with him, after having my first two at birthing centers. I wanted to use my insurance this time, and I trust that he'll respect my wishes for a natural birth. Anyway, I live in the Valley, and as long as I make the first appointment I can get there in 20 - 30 minutes. Good luck!

I have been told Dr. Lantry's office is BUSY with very long waits. My friend just had a vbac with Dr. Dwight, who I think someone else mentioned. I think he delivers out of Good Samaritan. I don't have any personal experience with either, but one friend switched from Dr. Lantry to Dr. Dwight, and the other switched from Dr. Pearson to Dr. Dwight, and both were very happy.

Dr Lantry delivered both of my sons c-section although she DID ask me if I wanted to try VBAC but I was not interested.
I think she's a good doctor. I've also heard that she's supportive if you want to go the totally natural/no drugs route too, although I cannot speak first hand.
She was very calm and a good, positive cheerleader during delivery, as we attempted to have a vaginal birth with my first son (who got stuck). I almost delivered my eyeballs trying to push that boy out, which is why I did not opt for VBAC. Glendale Adventist was a very nice maternity ward and recovery hospital as well, although some of the nurses...I'm sure that's the same everywhere, though.
My only gripe with Dr Lantry is that I felt that someone should have done something to detect that my son was not going to be able to escape my body, that day. I was in this big, beautiful, well outfitted hospital and could have had the same preparedness squatting out in a field (was what my husband and I discussed, I believe, waaaay back then, shortly after delivery).
My second son was premature and she got him out swiftly and safely, and both of them are healthy and wonderful!
