Hi everyone-
I'd love to find a low key group of women to hang out with, maybe have a playdate with etc. The tricky part is I work FT but I really would love to have other mom's with babies that I could get together with once or twice a month and have our babies play... or even a mom's night out. I live in Pleasanton. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

Can I get in also! I live in Castro Valley and have a 19-month old son. I work in the city each Thursday. Maybe we can meet at a local park? Will you send me a PM if you want to meet up. Thanks!

Hi,

I am a new SAHM with a 3 month old daughter, my first, and would love to be included in a get together. I know my girl is younger than your son and the others responding here but I have not had a chance to connect schedule/time wise with the other mother's groups so far. I live in Castro Valley and have been married for 6 1/2 years.

Hope to see you soon and if not take care!

I live in Pleasanton and my daughter is 18 months. I'm a stay at home mom, but am always looking for new friends. We don't really know anyone around her since we spend every other weekend in Vacaville with my family. Message me if you would like to chat and get our kids together.

Have you tried joining the Pleasanton Mothers Club? If you join they have an email group just to Pleasanton moms you can send & ask this same thing. I would think you'd get more responses as I'd guess more mom are in the club than on mamasource.

Hi K.~
I'm looking for the same type of group as well. I have an 8 1/2 month old daughter that I'd love to get out and socialize her. I also work FT in Pleasanton and live in San Leandro. If you find a group could you share the info, or maybe you and I could start play dates - I know my daughter is a little younnger than your son so I don't know if that's ok. Thanks and good luck! G.

Hi K.~
I would love to meet other mom's in the area as I just became a stay at home mom (poopy economy, although it's working out for the best!!) I have a 19 month old that loves to play. We currently are at the sports park every morning, nap and then look for new things to do in the afternoon. We are pretty flexible too. Let me know if you are interested in planning a play date or meeting up somewhere ( as we are in Pleasanton too.)

Thanks,
H.

Hi K.! I am in the area also & am a new Mom to a 6 month old-today- baby girl. I know she is much younger than yours & those that responded so far but I am sure it would work just fine even if she just watches the other kids- as far as getting together WITH the kids goes... I am a stay @ home so my schedule is pretty open.(Accept my inlaws are here until the 10th so before then I am kind of full) Let me know if you would like help on organizing something for those who responded. I am glad you posted this! I was just thinking of doing the same as Livermore does not have a Mom's group & I haven't looked into the Pleasanton one yet as mentioned below. Plus because some of those groups have so many rules it would be nice to form something more low key....:)

Hi K.,

You have a few years yet, but if you ever consider homeschooling, there are homeschool support groups in the area. The San Fransisco Bay area has the largest amount of homeschoolers in california! Cornerstone Church in Pleasanton has a homeschool support group. There is probably 150 familes in the group. They hold classes, go on feild trips, have park days , etc.(you don't have to attend the church to be part of the group) There are moms with preschoolers who haven't actually schooled yet, but have plugged themselves in- which is smart. The group is free.

Also many local churches support MOPS groups (mothers of preschoolers)and you don't have to attend the church to go to the group. I know Cornerstone does Mops and I'm sure there are a few other big churches in the area that do as well.
