I've been trying to find a preschool for my 4yr old here in Surprise and all I can seem to find are the preschool/childcare facilities that charge and arm & leg for tuition. I just want my son to go 2 times a week for a couple of hours to get some interaction with other kids and get used to following instruction from a teacher before he goes into kindergarden next year. Anyone know of a good safe place?
I'm taking my daughter to Word of Life preschool this next year. They are located at 175th Ave. and Bell Rd. They are very small and friendly. I have had a bunch of people tell me that they took their kids there or have their kids there and love it. My daughter is looking forward to it, so.. Hope that helps and good luck!

Hi! I have been checking into something for my 4 year old daughter, with the same objective as you. I cannot believe how expensive the chain centers cost!! I found a place called Above and Beyond Childcare and they have a preschool program that is M-W-F 1/2 days and it costs $54 a week. They use the Abeka cirriculum which is a very good cirriculum. I haven't had a chance to visit the center yet. I may end up asking to hear any other Mamasource Mom's opinions on this center. Here is a link to their site:

Check with your school dist. My kids have gone to preschool through the peoria school dist for 3 years, its a wonderful program and offer just what you are looking for a couple hours a day and few days a week. I would definatley look into a program through your school dist. Its reasonable they definatley just learn to interact with other kids and such, its a great way to introduce them to school.
