Full Day Preschools in Eagan Area (#196) That Are Connected to the District?

I am looking for a preschool in school district 196 that is not just a daycare center doing preschool there. I know that ECFE has preschool classes, but I am wondering if there is a full day preschool that is in an elementary school or something similar that is run through the district. I know of other school districts that do this. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you to those who responded, I guess I got the answer I expected. I am surprised that such a large district doesn't have better options, but I did get some good ideas.
Thanks!!

Sorry, I don't know of anything like that in 196. They have Bridge to School available the summer before Kindergarten, but otherwise I think there's only community preschools. Just as a recommendation, my kids went to Grace Preschool at Grace Lutheran Church. It has the reasonable price of a church-run school without being overtly religious. We absolutely loved the teachers and administration there! I know some of the kids were at daycare and were brought to school by their daycare provider. Here's a link to 196's list of preschools:

K.,

My kids both went to Preschool Project Kids, which is part of the Burnsville School District. They do child care & preschool, were open 11.5 hours a day, and I love them. When we moved to Rosemount, I called the Director of Community Ed for 196 to see if they had anything. They have a few different programs, but not anything like Preschool Project Kids.

There is a preschool that is located in Highland Elementary & Deerwood Elementary (I believe) called Country Garden Nursery School. It's good. They have 2-3 hour classes, 2 or 3 times a week, but if you need all day, it doesn't help. They have a summer bridge program for kids entering kindergarten who had no preschool experience, but that wasn't what I needed either. Once your child is enrolled all day in one of the elementary schools, most, if not all, have a before & after school program run by the YMCA that is located at each school. Again, no help for people in the district with preschoolers.

I was very frustrated that such a large and progressive district that has been around so long did not have exactly what you are talking about. I would have used it and I think a lot of people would. Maybe if the Director of Community Ed or the Superintendent hears from enough people, they will make it happen. Please let us know if you find out anything more.

Check out the Southwest YMCA. They have a great pre-school program that includes lots of extra opportunities (i.e. swimmin and music, etc.). My son went there for the two years before kindergarten and has continued to use their School Age Care program that runs before and after school right at dist 196 elementary schools. My son is a 1st grader now, but in his pre-K year at YMCA, they had a former dist 196 elem. teacher running the Dolphin room and it helped the kids make a great transition to kindergarten. I think the weekly rate is about $185 for pre-school age kids. PLUS - They even bus to dist 196 schools (Glacier, Pinewood, Woodland, and Redpine) to kindergarten from the Southwest YMCA
