I have a wonderful family doctor in Huntington Beach. He's part of the Hoag Family of Doctors. His name is Dr. Bart Barrett and he's not only the pediatrician, but my husband's and my doctor as well. Up until this year, he was also my OB, however, due to a downfall in deliveries, he's stopped delivering babies, which is a HUGE bummer!!!! worth the drive...i am in santa ana and won't go anywhere else but to san juan capistrano to the SEARS Pediatricians. it takes me about 35 minutes down the 5 in carpool lane(just google dr. william sears---robert and james are his sons also pediatrician) they are amazing!!! the vaccine book is proof alone...father (dr. william sears aka dr bill) is a kind gentle soul who really cares for people, i own his entire library and swear by his books because my gut instincts as a mother have coincided with the way he practices medicine...treats us like a family member instead of a number.

I LOVE Valeria Kozak in Tustin with Pediatric and Adult Medicine on Newport Ave. They are great there!

Give Dr. Michael Yu (In Newport) a try he is fantastic.####-###-####

Hi, we had a hard time finding a ped. when we first moved to LB.
I had a few horrible experiences until we looked my husbands childhood ped. They took us right away, they are VERY up to date and are incredibly helpful (I call for all the little things :. We are very happy with them.

We have Dr. Jeffrey Taylor, in Costa Mesa. He is part of the Newport Physicians group and I really like him. I have 2 kids, 3yrs and 19 months, also. (boy and girl) Pretty easy to get in at last minute, however, you may need to see another physician in the group, but i have found i liked them too. Waiting time isn't too bad either.

I love our Dr. and she is in Newport Beach. She is part of Harbor Pediatrics. The number is ###-###-#### and our Dr. is Dr. Cara Todd. By the way,we had another Dr. before Dr. Todd and she was HORRIBLE! So, trust me when I say this group is great.

Also, my husband is a Dermatologist and has an office in Newport and Fountain Valley. He accepts most PPO ins. So, if you want his info, just let me know and you can take your baby to get his eczema checked out.

Harbor Pediatrics in Newport Beach. All of the doctors are great especially Dr. Michelis. He is awesome with boys.

I go to Newport Children's In Newport Beach and see Dr. Del Mundo. Since there are quite a few different doctors in the practice (and the owner of the practice Dr. Reda has received multiple awards) you might be able to get more than one opinion. The # is ###-###-####. They even take Healthy Families health insurance which is a bonus! My niece (she is 14) has suffered from intense eczema since she was a tiny and my sister has her use the blue Aveno lotion. It works the best for her skin as she is super sensitive. :)

My oldest is 14 and we've been through quite a few (some nightmare) pediatricians. I know you didn't mention Tustin, but I live in AH and I'm willing to drive to Tustin for this one: Dr. Dawn Bruner, Pediatric and Adult Medicine, ###-###-####, 13132 Newport Ave., Tustin.

She was referred to me from a friend and I have referred her to several people who all take their children to her as well.

We have taken our daughter (now 4 1/2) to Dr. Barry Bherstock since she was born. He is located on the corner of Baker and Fairview in Costa Mesa in the Hoag outpatient building. 1190 Baker St. Suite 103 ###-###-####. His particular office has 3 or 4 other pediatricians so if he is not in there is a doctor who can help.

P.S. Just has my 4yr old daughter in for her eczema and with the right steriods, cream and lotions she's feeling better in just a couple days. She told me this morning "mommy, my skin is already looking better"

I love my son's doctor and our medical group was voted top 3 in the state.

We love Dr. Jeff Taylor in Costa Mesa (Baker/Fairview). His number is ###-###-####. He's great with my boys (14 mos. and 3 1/2) and very calm and reassuring for me. I also like that he's a younger doctor raising a family of his own.

My little girl got a rash on her foot and I had better luck at a dermotologist than her pediatrician. You may want to go that route... or to a chiropractor.

Dr. Arthur in Laguna Beach is an amazing holistic dr. chiropractor that could probably trace the eczema to an allergy and desensitize your child.

I see that you already have lots of referrals, but I thought I would toss in my pediatrician too because I think she is one of the most straightforward and caring physicians I have ever dealt with. My son has food allergies too and she has been awesome for us. She really keeps up with the current research as well (excluding all the hype), which is important to me.
