Hi all, I am looking for a GOOD dentist for me and my kids, I have tried several through my insurance and have not been happy with any of them. So I am ready to just pay out of pocket if I have to.
The dentist we've had so far have been either
1. Rude staff and/or dentist
2. Dirty Office
3. Doesn't speak english

Not sure where you live on the island but I go to Dr. Richard Goodman in Bulls Head on Lamberts Lane. He is great really nice and the office girls are nice too. Office is VERY clean and they all speak english :)

I love, love, love my dentist's office. I go to Dr. Fred Hecht on Richmond Avenue. He does not take insurance at all, but I get reimbursed part of the fee from my insurance if I submit the claim.
Ada is my hygenist and I love her. The office is clean, super efficient and the staff is friendly. They run a tight ship though and do not tolerate tardiness.

I moved to SI in 2006 and tried a couple of dentists. I found Dr Salvatore Lanza on Victory Bld, he also has an office on Amboy Rd. I like the small office, modern amenities, and great staff that know your name when you walk in the door and treat you with respect. My kids are younger, under 10 and are comfortable there as well, Good Luck,
My husband and I have been going to Dr. David Flynn's office on the corner of Bard & Clove. So far I have had visits with 4 of the doctors in the office and each one was nicer than the last. The office staff is reasonably friendly and helpful and the dental assistants have been great. This level of service is such a rarity on SI. Both my husband and I are pleased, which is no small feat by any means.
