thursday my fiance had a stomach virus, friday night into saturday i had it.. last night at about 10 my almost 8month old daughter started barfing her little brains out.. poor thing.. she made it about 5 hours without throwing up so this morning i gave her a bottle and 2hours later she threw the whole thing up =( .. is there anything i can give her? .. she seems perfectly fien and happy, shes her normal self and then out of nowhere she just throws up..i called her doctors office but the woman that answered the phone said she would have to get a doctor or nurse to call me back.. i guess my main concern would be her getting dehydrated .. she is keeping her bottles down for a while but it seems like most of its coming right back up
i really thought she was better when she woke up at 930am n hadnt thrown up the rest of the night, but i guess not

What can I do next?

I have had to go to water, for my daugther when her tummy is upset. My nurse said that the milk (BM for us) was too heavy for her tummy. So for one day to give her water or juice to keep her hydrated.

Try to give her some pedialite, little sips at a time and check her diapers constantly to make sure she's going pee pee and not dehydrating.
If she doesn't take the pedialite, try some apple juice mixed with water; I don't know if gatorade is ok for little ones, but you should call your kids doctor's office and talk to the nurse to see what they recommend, since your little one is not even a year old.
Good luck to you!

She won't dehydrate in the time it takes for the pediatrician to call back. and if she's holding it down for even 20-30 minutes she's absorbing some of the fluid. Poor baby - these are the tough mommy times - when baby is sick and there's nothing you can do other than hold & comfort. i consdier those the times when God wants you to chill out and spend the day on the couch holding baby. Memorize the moments becuase they'll be teenagers taller than you before you know it. (at 5'8" I'm now the shortest family member)...

Call your pedi about this. There is a protocol where you let the tummy "rest" for an hour, then 1 teaspoon every 10 minutes for an hour, then 2 teaspoons, etc. This is for toddlers though. There may be a different vomiting protocol for infants.
