Hi. I would like to take my son for a haircut somewhere that's kid-friendly, but not too overstimulating and commercialized. Does anyone know of a good, family-type hair salon? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I take my little 15month twin boys to the local Great Clips. They've had three hair cuts so far and have done very well, a little squirmy but not screaming. They both get a #2 blade in the back and scissor cut finger width length on top - looks very handsome on them (if I do say so myself!)

If you don't mind the drive to Allen there is a great place not far from 75 on Bethany called Kids Zoo Cuts. Its locally owned and operated. The people there are great, and wonderful entertainment to keep him occupied while he gets a great haircut. Mom you'll be catered to as well as your son. Good luck.

Cartoon Cuts in Stonebriar Mall. They have TVs with kids movies and/or video games at each station.
They also have toys in the waiting area. If you have to wait and don't want to sit there until you're called - they also have pagers so you can wander around the mall until they page you.
They are on the first floor next to Foleys/Dillards
