Strivectin SD is SUPPOSED to work... I have it, but I'm SO not into taking care of myself (anything more than taking a shower and brushing my teeth I FREQUENTLY skip) that I keep forgetting to put it on twice a day. It SEEMED to be working, though.

Then there's the whole idea of NOTHING WORKS. I hear that all the time...by doctors.

Well, we can talk about them until the cows come home, but unfortunately there's no getting rid of them unless you have a tummy tuck or some other plastic surgery that removes the skin where they are :-( I AM having a "mom special" tummy tuck, breast lift and underarm lip at the first of the year, but there's no way to get rid of them short of that. There are a number of different products that people say will help fade them out if you have dark ones. Time itself will make them fade as well. Keeping the area where you have them well-moisturized at all times with a deep moisturizer will help -and help any more from occurring!

I have not had a child, yet I have stretch marks. I use to be really thin and underweight due to being premature and being on meds (I never liked that!) by my mother. Then I gained weight and that's when the stretch marks started to appear, it was embarrassing for me!

I have been using Avon ANEW CLINICAL Professional Stretch Mark Smoother. They stopped selling it on Avon.com awhile ago and I was mad about it. It really worked for my stretch marks. I used it 2x a day. But now, you can find it on Amazon.com and I buy it there.....I just noticed Avon.com is selling a trial size now!

The link is...

http://www.avon.com/1/1/16653-anew-clinical-professional-...

Give it a try. It has wonderful reviews! :) LOL, I feel like I work for Avon or something, I don't! They just have really good products.

Don't forget to massage the area with whatever cream you do decide to use for your stretch marks. It will help a lot.

I've been lazy and haven't been using the cream 2x. :(

Hope you fight the right cream for you! Good luck!

Hi L., I see you are from Minnesota, I am from ND and I sell Avon. Right now Avon has a product for stretch marks in the Solutions line called, Stretchmark 24 Line Reducing Treatment and it is on sale for $11.99 in the C-14 brochure. The Avon stretch mark treatment products have been recommended by plastic surgeons and have great results. I had a customer who used it and loved it. She has since moved (darn it.) Avon may be bringing back that treatment in the Anew line at a later date but my customer used the less expensive line and had great results.

One of the great things about ordering from an Avon representative or from Avon.com itself is that if the product doesn't work for you, you can return it as we have a satifaction guaranteed promise.

I have my own website at youravon.com/sbradley and you can order direct from me if you want and Avon will send the product to you and usually you can find a free shipping code or I can usually find that code and send it to you. My email address is ____@____.com

Palms cocoa butter and plain old vitamin E oil like one of the respondents said - every night before you go to bed. Works wonderfully!

I just used Palmer's Cocoa butter and plain old vitamin E oil.
I was super tiny when I got pregnant and especially with my son, my belly got huge. Strangely enough, the only stretch marks I got were from a previous incision scar stretching. He's 15 and you can't even see them now.
Just rub your belly up with good lotions or oils. I am anxious to hear how some of the other products work though because I have friends who are young and got stretch marks.
They do have technology these days to lessen them.
But, they do fade in time as well.

Best wishes!

I found Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil, I haven't really used it enough to give you a for sure answer if it works or not. I have been looking everywhere for the new Mederma Stretch Mark Therapy but cannot find it yet. More people have told me about Mederma products and this new one is specifically for stretch marks... Im definately going to try it :) Hope you find something that helps!

lol hahahahahahahah
im not laughing at you. just this whole idea.
stretch marks can not be "gotten rid of" by any cream, lotion, etc etc etc.

probably the only guaranteed way is lasers, which are expensive and cosmetic (aka something insurance wont cover).
so either forget about them, use tanning lotion to reduce their visibility a little, or accept them. you are a mother, theres no reason to dress like britany spears anyway right? so cest la vie. stretch marks are there whether you like them or not.

I just read w/in the last week that you can lessen them with Retin A while they are still fresh, new and red/pink in color. Once they've turned white, however, the chance is slim that they'll go away.

Dr. Oz said that vitamin E is the only thing that will help reduce the appearance. I believe anything he says :) So I got some cocoa butter with vitamin E, and they do seem to look a little better (not as dark) after I put it on. But I'm not too crazy about trying to eliminate the marks! So I don't really put it on as often as you probably have to lol.
