So I'm probably behind the times here, but this is the first book I've finished since my son was born. Just finished "The Help" and LOVED it! Anyone else read it? Now I need another book recommendation. This was one of the most touching books I've read in a long time! :)

If you liked that one (and I did, too!), you'd also like the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Another very memorable, wonderful book.

I am reading "Left Neglected" by Lisa Genova. My sister mailed it to me and I got it today just before lunch. I read during my lunch hour and cannot wait to get home tonight to continue. She read it in less than 2 days and said it was one of the best books she's read in awhile.

Haven't read The Help yet.

But my book recommendation is "The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein. When I didn't know what book to read next, a friend recommended this one (she knows I love dogs, the book is written thru the dog's pov). I finished the book in 4 days b/c I couldn't put it down.

That is a good one!

I just finished This Beautiful Life. It's not a happy book, but it is very good. I keep thinking about it, so I know it was good. :) Anyone with teenagers should read it.

One of my most favorite books was called "One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd" by Jim Fergus. It is a fiction book and it is a story about how the Native American Indians were asked by the U.S. government to trade one thousand of their horses for one thousand white women. May Dodd is the main character and it is her story her life with the indians. It is an amazing book!
