I'm looking for gift bags for Thanksgiving Raffle that will fit a Crock Pot Box size 14(h)x14(w)x 12(d). I've been to Party City, Michaels, Walmart, Target and the Dollar Stores. I've tried researching online with no findings. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. Its for early bird gifts that our church and Alms will be giving away at our annual Thanksgiving food distribution. I plan to wrap but also would like a bag with handles since they will be carrying bag of food and turkey.

If it's a box why don't you just wrap it in wrapping paper?

Buy two big ones at the dollar store, cut out one of the big sides on each, and tape together with clear packing tape. Run a ribbon under the crockpot both ways and tie to the handle so the weight of the crockpot is lifted on the ribbons and the bag won't break, or run several strips of packing tape across the bottom of the bag for extra support.

If everyone will know what's being raffled, do you need to cover up the box, or are you just trying to make it look festive? For our raffles and auctions, we just get a roll of cellophane (from any good party store), either clear or colored, and cut a big sheet of it. Set the box in the middle, fold up the 2 short sides and then the 2 long sides, and secure it with a length of curling ribbon tied in a double knot with all the excess cellophane sticking up. Then you can add some additional curling ribbon (cut a bunch of 3 foot lengths, and tie them all together on top of the original one, tying in a double knot and then curling with scissors. Or, use a length of decorative ribbon (with or without the wire along the sides) and tie into a festive bow. If you use the curling ribbon, you can punch a hole in a tag that has either the raffle number of the name of the donor, and tie one end of the curling ribbon through the hole to create a hang tag.

This would seem to be much easier than all the research.

The only other option is the huge oversized bags (usually with a Christmas design, which might not work for you) designed for huge items like sleds and tricycles - then you'd have to cut it down to size.

If this is a fundraiser for a cause (vs. an office party), the charity might not want to spend a ton of money on a fancy bag. You can improvise with the cellophane for about $7 a long and an assortment of curling ribbon.

I saw them at walmart today for 3.97 the jumbo gift bags and bike bags. I didn't want to pay that much so I went to Dollar Tree where they had a polka dot one in the birthday section. They also had Christmas ones on an end cap. I know you can order from them online if you have time, but you may have to buy in bulk. ? Not sure.
I needed them for my child going to camp. They said to pack pillows and blankets in colored garbage bags so the kids can tell em apart. This size fit one pillow, two blankets, and a stuffed animal-so it should fit a crock pot.
