Instant Menopause!

I had an ovarian cyst removed along with both ovaries last week. I am hot flashing and feel "wired up" when I try to go to sleep. I am sad about the sudden loss, but want to move forward. Very interested in bio-identical hormones. Any one read "Sex Lies, and Menopause?" Any mom out there that can relate?

What can I do next?

Hi A.. Bio-identicals are great but first just try some black cohosh product or red clover. Menopause is a western created problem due to a lack of phyto-estrogens in your diet (plant estrogens) Try the Bio's when absolutely necessary. Hot flashes (power surges) are nutritionally fixed. Go to your local health food store and they are full of products. I used to go to Vitamin Barn in Malibu, because we are all so different you must do your homework and try all sorts. I know I wrote a book on this subject. Dr.Allen in Santa Monica is the expert for Bio's ###-###-#### A..xx If you have more questions contact me through my website www.angiebest.com Good luck.

Whatever you do, go with a natural hormone balancing cream. I haven't read that book, but have read, "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You about Menopause" and "What Your Doctor Won't Tell You about Premenopause" both by John Lee, MD (his website is johnleemd.com) and is a proponent on natural progesterone. Arbonne carries two types, both using plant-based natural progesterones: Prolief--for those not having menopausal symptoms but need to balance their hormones (we all do); and Phytoprolief, which has black cohosh, etc., to combat the hot flashes, etc that accompany the hormone swings. Do your research, but don't use synthetic hormones--very b-a-d. If you would like any information, you should check out johnleemd.com as he is the one who blew the whistle on Hormone Replacement Therapy and how bad that is. If you want product, I can help you--Arbonne is quite well known for its pre-metered pumps that deliver the right amount of cream per use. AND, they work and you really can feel normal again. My website is www.rothermel.myarbonne.com. Good luck.

Hi A., PLease try a natural hormone balancing cream you will feel so much better. I have had great success with my clients on using the creams because they go straight to the bloodstream and your body will recognize it because its very much like your bodies own hormones vs the synthetic type you get at the doctor. Make sure the one you buy is standardized so you get the same quantity and quality with every dose. I actualy teach hormone balancing classes if your ever interested in having one and I may be doing a webinar very soon. There is a great dvd and other resources at www.smarttools.soundconcepts.com. If you are interested in purchasing a cream you can go to www.dalex.myarbonne.com and take a look at what I have, it comes with a 45day MBG. Or feel free to contact me back for more information.
