I'm not too happy with my son's preschool and I am looking around. Anyone have a great recommendation? I would recommend Minneapple Montessori in Roseville/ Mpls . My son is in the infant room and the staff are exceptionally well trained! It is sort of hard to get in though so I would call as soon as possible. They also have one in Dinkytown. There Montessori program (post infancy) is supposed to be exceptional.
I have to put in that Jean Lyle in Merriam Park is very good! They are strictly a preschool though and not a daycare/preschool. This is my daughters second year and she loves it! Plus the teacher retention is phenomenal! The student retention is too, almost half of my daughters classmates had older siblings that attended! Let me know if you have more questions!
Hi this C. i am 22 an single mom i worked for Macdonald Montessori after high school. Great place. I spent most of my time in the infant room but it is really a great place. Know the own was a family friend. And all the teachers are really close. Worked there for almost 2 years but left because the drive was to far from home. Nikki is awesome and jenny i think they are in the office and had never had any issues with anything there. The programs and classrooms are great i was actually thinking about stoping in and saying hi to everyone. Over all five star center. Would recommend it to anyone. I wanted to see this preschool for my son after seeing reviews on here. I live in Burnsville, but work in St Paul. I had a long list of preschools I wanted to visit between that area, and everyone else was able to get me in within a day or 2 for a tour. It took 5 phone calls to this one before I finally got an answer (other than to call back at another time... which I did at the time they said, and then was told again to call back). Usually, I would have considered that too unorganized and given up right away and not looked at it, but kept trying because of the good reviews. I was starting my job in 2 weeks when I started trying to schedule a tour, and was planning on spending the first week touring, and then get the paperwork done and go visit a couple times the 2nd week so my son would be comfortable when I left him (he had been with me 24 hours a day for a year, never apart at all). Well, I started calling on Monday, and on Friday the guy that does the touring finally called me back and said they could do a tour the next friday or else the week after. I started work the week after, and thought that was crazy that that is the best they will do. Because of that, I will never consider that daycare. The people I talked to on the phone never sounded very nice, and got annoyed that I kept calling... but they told me call after 10, so I called a little after 10, then was told the guy still wasn't there, and to call back again later, and I did. Ended up being told to call back the next day, so I did twice, and then finally just asked them to have him call me. That took 2 days! That is my only experience with that preschool. I found an amazing one near my house in burnsville anyway... that I don't think this one would have compared to. I know thats not a lot of help on the actual school, but I get the impression they are very unorganized and unreliable from what it took to even get ahold of them.
